Acerca de este alojamiento
Heritage Lodge | 6,500sqft | 5 King Suites | Theater, Bar, Spa
Your new family ski tradition starts here. Ski in/out accessible (details below), Heritage Lodge is where Tamarack's most discerning guests gather for connection and experiences that become core memories. Perched high amongst the pines in Tamarack Resort, this 5BR|6BA|6,430sqft alpine sanctuary honors everything you love about classic ski lodges: soaring timber beams, stone hearths that anchor, crackling wood fires, and floor-to-ceiling views. This is the lodge your grandkids will remember.
Tamarack Resort is a four-season destination 90 miles north of Boise; it's the perfect basecamp for your west central Idaho adventures, located between the recreation opportunities in Cascade and McCall or those further afield. Nestled on 3,500 acres with 2,800 feet of vertical and adjacent to Lake Cascade, it offers year-round recreation, including some of the best skiing and snowboarding in Idaho, Nordic and snowshoe trails, hiking, downhill and cross country mountain biking, zipline tours, whitewater rafting, motorized and non-motorized water sports, and the award-winning Osprey Meadows Golf Course. Tamarack also offers a host of on-site dining and leisure activities, to include a spa, pickleball courts, and disc golf course. Be sure to check their schedule for hosted events and activities.
HERITAGE LODGE ACCESS: You'll have all of Heritage Lodge to yourselves. Please note there are four locked owner closets (one under the stairs and two ski lockers in the daylight basement, and one closet on the landing on the 2nd floor).
PARKING: Attached 3-car heated garage. The driveway is steep and narrow—4WD or AWD highly recommended in winter. Additional driveway parking is possible but tight; we recommend three vehicles, but depending on size can accommodate up to five.
SKI ACCESS:
WHAT IT'S NOT: The Heritage Lodge is NOT a slope-side ski-in/ski-out property; if you're looking for true door-to-slope convenience, this isn't it. We'd rather be honest than have you disappointed. Keep in mind, Tamarack Resort does offer 24/7 complimentary dial-a-ride service; they can transport you (and your gear) anywhere in the resort.
WHAT IT IS: If you're an intermediate+ skier who loves the idea of accessing the mountain from your back door, all on groomed and marked trails, with a little downhill pushing on the way out and a little uphill trekking on the way in, Heritage Lodge is a beautiful option.
-->SKI OUT (400m): The Lower Pinnacle Trail is directly below Heritage Lodge. Exit from the daylight basement and catch the groomed Lower Pinnacle Trail off the firepit. You'll have a 400m downhill journey to the Poma T-Bar (no road crossings), which will get you to the main base area, Discovery Learning Center, and Tamarack Express Chairlift.
-->SKI IN (800m): From Lower Showtime Run, veer right onto the Sugarloaf Run (Green). Follow the groomed trail downhill until you hit the Lower Pinnacle Trail, which will take you back to Heritage Lodge. Of the roughly half mile journey from Lower Showtime back to Heritage Lodge, the last 150m is uphill.
TAMARACK RESORT ACCESS: You'll also have access to the numerous amenities offered by Tamarack Resort; gas firepit at the Lodge at Osprey Meadows, pickleball courts, disc golf, and resort cross-country hiking/biking trails. This property does not have access to the Lodge fitness center, pool, or hot tub (Heritage Lodge has its own private hot tub and fitness room) .
Heritage Lodge was built for the way you actually want to live—together, but never crowded. Present, but never without comfort. Immersed in nature, but never roughing it.
Across three levels and 6,430 square feet, this is a lodge that understands how groups actually gather. Everyone needs their own sanctuary (five king ensuites deliver). No one wants to wait for laundry (two sets of washers and dryers solve that). Someone always needs to squeeze in a little work (the dedicated office with printer and gas fireplace makes it painless). Bodies need to move (the fitness room with commercial bike and elliptical keeps you honest). And movie night should feel special (stadium seating in the theater room, full bar steps away—better than going out).
What makes Heritage Lodge truly unforgettable: the way it blurs the line between inside and out.
The wraparound balcony--where morning coffee tastes like ritual. The expansive lower patio--where the built-in stone spa waits. Fire up the Blackstone or Green Egg for dinner. Light the gas fire pit for cocktails. Gather around the massive wood-burning fire pit for the conversations that stretch past midnight.
--TIMELESS ALPINE DESIGN--
Heritage Lodge doesn't chase trends—it honors the soul of the mountain lodge. Step into the great room and feel it: timber beams overhead, a wood-burning fireplace drawing everyone close, and windows framing pines and peaks.
Real wood. Real stone. Real fires. This isn't a sterile modern box—it's the lodge where you can finally exhale.
--BUILT FOR TOGETHERNESS--
From morning coffee to late-night fire pit conversations, every corner of this lodge invites you to linger a little longer.
Pour your first coffee on the wraparound balcony and watch the pines wake up. Cook side-by-side in the chef's kitchen—Wolf range, Subzero fridge, every tool you didn't know you needed. The dining table seats six, the breakfast bar seats four, and someone's always leaning against the counter with a glass of wine. Descend to the daylight basement where the western-style bar--complete with beverage fridge, sink, dishwasher, and bistro seating—becomes the gathering spot. (Fair warning: someone will claim a barstool and not move for hours). Bring your bottles and stock the walk-in wine cellar; we provide the glassware and the atmosphere. Laugh through movie night in the theater with stadium seating and an Epson projector--the bar and popcorn maker are ten steps away.
The fitness room has a commercial bike and elliptical, free weights, kettlebell, bench, and bands. And when the day winds down? The massive wood-burning fire pit is where the best conversations happen.
When it's time to retire, the primary suite is your sanctuary: king bed, wood fireplace, private balcony, and a spa-worthy ensuite with steam shower, soaking tub, bidet, radiant heated floors, bath robes, and a walk-in closet so large you'll wonder why you packed light.
--IMMERSED IN NATURE--
You're not just visiting the mountains. You're living inside them.
Heritage Lodge sits at tree-top level on .81 acres in Pinnacle Estates, with mountain views greeting you from nearly every room.
Ski out your back door via the groomed trail (accessible for experienced skiers—more on that in the "Access" section). Hike/bike half mile via trail to the Village, the Lodge at Osprey Meadows, + the golf course. Soak in the built-in stone spa while snow falls. End every evening around the fire pit under Idaho stars so bright you'll forget what light pollution looks like.
This is mountain living, not mountain visiting.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
*If you're flying into Boise International Airport, we recommend renting a vehicle directly from the airport.
*It's possible to get an Uber from Boise/BOI to Donnelly, although it's not necessarily a reliable mode of travel; depending on your arrival time and season, you may have difficulty finding a driver who will accept your ride. Uber is not currently accepting advance reservations for trips to Donnelly from Boise; on-demand rides will be your only option.
*We HIGHLY recommend a 4WD vehicle.
