Nestled on a quiet dead-end street in the Nedonna Beach neighborhood on the very north end of town, this home is only a few short blocks from a sandy stretch of coastline. To the south, you'll find multiple lakes for fishing, as well as Rockaway Beach proper. The town offers seasonal festivals and charming shops, restaurants, and ice cream parlors. The famous Tillamook Cheese Factory is a quick 12-mile drive away.

This was a very nice place. Clean, lots of space, good location. The only comment I have is about the spiders and their webs outside — haha. No sign of any inside at al. Otherwise great. Thank you.

Needs a deep cleaning

Let's start with positives. Location is great, several easy blocks from the beach, nice neighborhood for walking, close enough to town, but also far enough away. It was so quiet, which was lovely. House was a perfect size for my friend and me. Not impressed with communication. I messaged through the VRBO app the day before we arrived to ask about a blender and tea kettle. Didn't receive an answer until the next day (after leaving home) and conflicting answers from two people. We were given a key code to access the key, but were not informed of two lock boxes. There were no instructions for which one and only one had an obvious key pad (for which our code didn't work). That caused unnecessary stress which would have been avoided with clear communication. Had to hold for awhile to reach someone, but got in. We found rumpled looking sheets on the full-sized bed with a couple of hairs and spots on them. Not acceptable. The towels as well were all dingy and dirty/stained/worn. We called back to Vacasa who said they would contact the local team. We got a call from Shannon from the local team who was kind. She referred us to a spare set of sheets in the closet. Unfortunately the spare flat sheet was also stained. Luckily I had a Rumpl in my truck so I slept under it. Overall needs a deep cleaning (baseboards, room corners, dishes). Had minor (annoying) issues with toilets running and bathroom heater that wouldn't shut off. No cheese grater (really?). Overall not terrible but won't b

Close to the beach!

Cute little house close to the beach! House is within walking distance to the beach. Big kitchen and table for games and puzzles. Nice sized bar to cook.

Really nice house

This was a nice place to stay. We enjoyed the location. Just a few minute stroll to the beach. The outside space could use some TLC. The cob-webs and major weeds all around the house really took away from the curb appeal. It was really not usable space. The inside of the house was very comfortable and very nice. It was surface clean, but not that clean if you looked close. As in doors, baseboards, windows, shower curtain, we're all quite dirty. Loose facet and plugged sink. If they cleaned that up it would have made a major difference in the overall rating. We would have given it a 5 star. Aside from that we enjoyed our stay and we were very comfortable and we would stay there again.

Great place and quiet location

I spent the weekend with a friend at the house, and we had a great time. The house was clean and check-in and check out was a breeze. Well-stocked with extra towels and blankets and all the kitchen cookware we needed. The beach is lovely here and a short 5 minute walk. It was quiet and not as much traffic or people as in Cannon Beach where we've stayed during other visits to the Oregon Coast. Good wifi for Zoom meetings too in case you have to squeeze a little work in.

The worst couch ever

The gas grill was DANGEROUS and should not be used. Not heat in the master bedroom. The couch is not usable for it's most basic function. It is not a comfortable place to sit.

Wasn't as clean as expected

Mixed feelings. Dead flies in the window sills . Main bath toilet bowl could be cleaner, and shower had hair in the drain. Other than this, the house was very cozy and well equipped. Good location, very close to the beach and very quiet. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Will be back for sure.

Decent stay

Property was a little dirtier than expected. Spiderwebs and stains on carpet or a little disappointing. Couch was not comfortable at all. Futon was not in the extra bedroom as advertised.

Nice updated cottage

Smaller than in photos especially kitchen sofa - cant lie back on it due to back not attached to rest of sofa not very comfortable. outside grill in bad condition had most of all nescessities needed. nice quiet neighborhood, short walk to beach no ice maker

Uncleaned, black mold, no resolution, nightmare reservation.

We arrived on July 5th to find the property uncleaned from the prior guests and unsanitary overall. The master bathroom had significant black mold around the shower, we found hair in the sheets, towels and on the floors. The dishes had been put away rinsed but not cleaned. The sheets had not been washed and changed. Under normal conditions the cleanliness of this rental was appalling but under COVID conditions this was unacceptable and a risk to our family’s health and safety. We contacted VRBO customer service for resolution within an hour after arriving. They informed us that we’d be transferred to a hotel and that the property was unsafe to remain in with the black mold. We were transferred to Vacasa (the property management company) and finally to the local team. Several tiers of service resulted in a cleaning crew being dispatched at 10pm to re-clean the rental 6 hours after we arrived. After the cleaning crew left, the condition was better, but the black mold issue went unresolved. VRBO never reached out regarding a transfer. We were forced to stay in the rental and found more issues that night including a used women’s maxi pad behind a nightstand, unclean dishes, a broken bathroom faucet, clogged sink and clogged shower. On July 6th, we again called both VRBO and Vacasa who informed us that no other property or hotel was available to us due to the 4th of July holiday. They refunded the cleaning and booking fees and offered a full refund if we vacated the property. With no where else to go and over $1000 in airline change fees to return the 1000+ miles home and a completely lost vacation we escalated further. After additional calls on our part, Vacasa sent out a maintenance crew who handled the clogged drains and removed as much of the black mold as was possible. We lost three days of our vacation and countless hours cleaning, dealing with customer service, waiting for phone calls that never came. Under normal conditions we were told we’d be transferred to an equal or better property. This never occurred and we spent our vacation in what will forever be known in our family as the house of horrors. This was a complete breakdown of service protocols, overbooking properties in the event of contingencies and both VRBO and Vacasa putting my family at a significant health risk.

Fun stay near the beach.

We enjoyed staying here. It accommodated everyone comfortably. The fire place is super cool, and everything is finished nicely. The Beach is a short walk down the road. It is a very nice beach for boogie boarding. cute, quiet neighborhood. The only thing I would suggest is a little softer pillows. For back sleepers they are very firm, but other than that it was awesome. We even saw a little deer right outside our bedroom window munching on the dandelions.

Wonderful new property, very clean and convenient

This is a very nice property. It is recently built and has a very nice layout. The appliances and accoutrements are well above average. The only suggestion that we would have is to switch out the sofa because the part of the sofa that supports your back when you lean back falls off onto the floor when you try to relax. Very nice property and would stay here again.

Family weekend getaway

We brought our family of four here for a quick weekend getaway. The house is in a great, quiet, dead end location, and only a short 10 minute walk to the beach. It’s very light, bright and up to date. We only used the kitchen to cook breakfast and snacks, but it had everything we needed for our stay. If staying longer and utilizing the kitchen, I would recommend bringing your own foil, ziploc bags and saran wrap as they didn’t have any supplied. I appreciated that they also had beach towels available. The house is newer and aesthetically pleasing but my only complaints and reasoning for not giving 5 stars would be for the following items (that can be easily remedied by the owner): 1) The top bunk bed was not made upon our arrival. My youngest daughter had to try to climb the ladder to help make the bed but when she did, we saw that the bunk ladder was not properly screwed in and pulled away from the frame. (Only 2 of 4 holes were screwed in and max weight said 90 pounds, daughter is only 68 pounds). After further inspection of the bunk, I was not comfortable with it as it seemed like it was not put together properly, it was easy to sway and didn’t feel sturdy, so we ended up removing the top mattress and put it on the floor. 2) SEATING: As mentioned in previous reviews, the couch is awful. It is not functional in that you cannot lean back on one side it because the cushions were not secured and they tend to fall off when you lean back. We had to put a few dining chairs behind them to help keep them from falling completely off. The accent chair is there for looks because it is not even remotely comfortable. The barstools were wobbly and felt like they were going to fall apart. They’ve definitely missed the mark in comfortable seating options. 3) Would have preferred a tv in the master bedroom - and the master shower needs some sort of caddy so that your bar soap and toiletries don’t have to sit on the shower floor. Aside from that, the house was cute and clean.

We enjoyed our stay

I and my granddaughter from Iowa, plus my son and his three daughters from Hood River, Oregon stayed for two nights. My 40 yr. old son and youngest daughter slept on the bunk beds. I got the "master" bedroom, (I thought the bed was very good) and the 2 - 12 yr olds and the 14 yr old slept on the couches in the living room. It would have been a bit more convenient with another room but, it worked quite well for us. The shower in the master bedroom could use a soap & shampoo "tray", but was no big problem. We used the kitchen for breakfast and suppers and it worked well. Over all, we enjoyed the property and would enjoy a return trip.

Great House!

This was a great house. Very clean and was perfect for what we were looking for. Beds are very comfortable and loved having 2 full bathrooms. Only suggestion I have is a different couch for the living room. The backs came off the one side so easy that you couldn't relax and lean back without them falling down. Regardless still a 5 start rating. Great place! Would definitely stay again!

Amazing!

This place was amazing! Stayed here for 2 weeks during 4th of July! The house is well equipped with essentials. Very comfortable and spacious. Neighborhood is quiet. Beach was about 5 blocks walking distance. Town was just a few minute drive away! Seaside and Tillamook were close by! I would rent this house again hands down.

Perfect, as advertised

Quiet, clean home. Kids loved the bunk beds. Nice fireplace, hose with warm water outside to wash off sand. Ten minute walk to beach. Plenty of blankets and nice to have washer and dryer. Bring your own detergent, they don't leave you with much. Nice TV with robust cable package, plenty of kids channels and sports channels. We had a perfect stay. WiFi worked great as well. Easy access using keypad on arrival. Master bed is a little small. Full size maybe. Bring own Ziploc bags if you're cooking. But plenty of dishes and silverware. Grill worked great. Propane was full and extra tank was full as backup. Could use some curtains on blinds in bedroom. Lots of light gets through in morning. Thermostat controls in each room as well as bathrooms. Awesome stay.
