The Burb Inn is a hip place to stay in the Phoenix Hill/NULU district of Louisville. Walking distance to top rated restaurants, bars, and attractions. Great place to host a group of friends, family or smaller bachelor party. Includes private parking, yard & fire pit.
Upon entering there is a living area perfect for entertaining with 16’ ceiling & sleeping loft above the kitchen area. Upstairs has two bedrooms with queen beds each with private half bath. There is a separate private shower room.
The original structure was built in the early 1900’s and operated as a storefront for various businesses. There is a rich local history of the unit. It still retains much of its original feel and structure, but was fully renovated in 2022-23 into a Louisville destination vacation rental by hosts Hilary and Steve, who have a passion for Louisville and its local offerings.
This block of East Muhammad Ali boulevard is generally quiet, a few blocks from the heart of NULU. There is a corner market for easy access to needed items. There is a fun beer garden and pizza place just one block away.
You will have full access to the premises. You will enter through the front door. There is also a side gate entrance with a private breezeway/alley on the property. We keep this side gate entrance locked at all times, but you can access the breezeway space from the rear bedroom sliding door.
Attached to the property is a private gravel driveway for guest use with a gated yard, bbq, and fire pit with firewood stocked. If you would like to use the gated outdoor space, let us know as there is a separate key and a few instructions for using the barbecue and fire pit we like to cover.
Behind the main house is our separate studio unit, also connected to the breezeway. We will always let you know if we or another guest is using the our studio, and it is often vacant. The studio is not a part of our listing, but if you want additional information please reach out to us.
We are always available to assist you. If we are not available in person, we will respond quickly through Airbnb message. Let us know if you need anything. Additionally we have lots of good local recommendations if needed.

Free unrestricted street parking is available on this section of E. Muhammad Ali Blvd, usually directly in front of our unit. The area is flat and is the most walkable area in all of Louisville, with easy access to nearby areas such as NULU, The Highlands, Butchertown, the Urban Bourbon Trail, and even Downtown. We recommend using S Campbell or S Wenzel streets when going toward NULU and downtown.
The first bedroom is an open loft above the kitchen area in main room. This area is best for those that do not have mobility issues and not need extra privacy. It can be less quiet than the other bedrooms. To access a bathroom for this bedroom, you will need to use one of the bathrooms in either of the private bedrooms.
We have a shower room at the start of the hallway. This is easily accessible to all guests as it is not located in one of the bedrooms (this is a feature we designed intentionally).
The couch in the main room is very comfortable for sleeping in case there is an extra guest. There are some nearby blankets and bedding supples under loft stairs.
The TV, Bluetooth speaker, and electric fireplace all have remotes located nearby. Please return them to their locations. There are some basic channel & streaming services (Netflix) that are accessible. You are welcome to login to your own streaming services; just remember to logout when you depart.
There is a full kitchen and cookware to prepare meals, however you may find it limited for larger amounts of groups or meals. There is a 2-burner cooktop. We have a combination microwave and convection oven (Please reference instructions for use). There is also a ventilation fan and light located underneath for cooking.
Under the steps to the loft there is an extra set of blue chairs you may use during your stay. Upon checkout, please return them to the same location.
Across from the washer/dryer you will find detergents and other household items available to you should you use need them (first aid, etc.). We also have extra space heaters and fans around the unit should you need them. No parties are allowed on premise. No glitter or confetti please!!!
