Independently-owned and operated by a native of Charleston, The Starlight has been a beloved neighborhood landmark for over 60 years. Family run since 1961, The Starlight was conceived as an affordable and accessible destination for locals and visitors alike. In 2022 the property was lovingly restored and reimagined as a 51 room oasis just minutes from downtown Charleston. Our bright and spacious rooms & cottages are designed for the perfect stay with a variety of modern amenities including pillow-top mattresses, great showers, luxe bath products, and a 55" TV in every room. With a private swimming pool, cocktail lounge, event space, & a host of "De-Luxe" amenities, the Starlight is the perfect oasis for restful days and playful nights.
