Aspectos positivos: Limpieza, llegada y ubicación
I'll start with positives: location to downtown CDA/dog beach/parks was great. The house was incredibly clean, and beds were the most comfortable I've ever experienced in a rental. Effort was made to make the interior homey, including fresh flowers upon arrival. Also loved that I could bring my dogs. That being said, there was definitely room for improvement. When we arrived, an oscillating lawn sprinkler was on, drenching the entryway to the house and soaking us and our bags. The electronic lock was not straightforward and we received no instructions. There was no mention of the grill or hot tub in the listing, and no grill tools provided. We did not use the hot tub because we weren't sure if it was for guest use (no, I didn't message the hosts-I realize I could have, just wasn't a priority). The steps are precarious leading up the house, with the bottom one crumbling and uneven. You have to park on a hill, and the passenger can't get in the car due to the retaining wall and foliage. This is a fairly busy cut-through, and due to the parking situation isn't the safest for dogs or children exiting on the driver's side. The lawn was VERY overgrown, with weeds in the rear up to our waists. There was also a locked outbuilding with lawn games, etc. that was inaccessible, and access to the switch for overhead yard lights was inside, leaving us in the dark. Overall, cute house with great access to CDA, but disappointing outside space that may improve with time (recent renovation).
