The place is comfortable and charming inside and out. The pool and yard space in the back was the perfect retreat to relax and have fun. Everything was spacious, clean, and it was well stocked with everything a traveler needs. Laura was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the process. Plenty of space in the house, lots of fun activities to entertain kids and adults, pool was warm and clean. This home exceeded our expectations! Its location was ideal—close to the airport, shopping, and the coast. The house was incredibly well equipped with everything we needed, from dishes and cooking utensils to just about every small kitchen appliance you could think of. The comfortable furniture and selection of games made it easy to feel right at home.The backyard was amazing and quickly became our favorite place to spend time. It was beautifully landscaped and thoughtfully furnished, with pool towels, floaties, and multiple areas for relaxing. The screened-in porch was especially enjoyable, providing a peaceful place to unwind while still enjoying the outdoor atmosphere. We would happily stay here again.

The host was welcoming, helpful, and available for any questions. The property was in fantastic condition. We had everything we needed and more. There were so many little touches that made this home special. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. Overall, this is a 10/5! It had everything from toys for kids for the house equipped with baby items you may need, games inside for the whole family, outdoor activities and needs and so much more! I felt like I had anything I could've needed or wanted at any time during the stay. This was so close to everything (shops, dining, beach, airport). The pool was amazing and outdoor aesthetic was a dream. Everything was on a timer in case you forgot, but the host was accommodating in extending the timers as desired. The best thing was the host and her constant contact, recommendations, and help for anything we had questions about. The whole family raved how we would be sure to book with her again! Truly a piece of paradise!

The host was amazing from start to finish. She was very responsive, easy to talk to, and always willing to help with anything we needed during our stay. Awesome property! Pictures are accurate. The outdoor space is wonderful. From the pool, to the firepit, to the outdoor games, to the artificial turf. Everything you could want is here. There is even a nice screened in patio with a 65" TV. Many updates to the home. Host was very responsive and helpful. Quiet neighborhood. Great location. Close to many things. 15 minutes to the beach, 10 minutes to casinos. Be sure to check out the German restaurant, which is just a block away. One of the best VRBOs I've stayed at!

A vacation within itself! It had all the amenities, comfort, and perfection you want during a vacation. Clean, organized, and quiet. It was a great location, too. Not far from the beach, downtown Ft. Lauderdale, and the airport. The owner was great and very helpful with local south FL places to visit while there. We will be staying at this piece of paradise again.

I chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect balance of convenience, character, and authentic South Florida charm. You’re truly in the center of everything—just minutes from Fort Lauderdale Airport, Port Everglades cruise terminal, downtown Fort Lauderdale, beaches, dining, university campuses, and major attractions like Hard Rock Casino, Sawgrass Mills (the largest outlet mall in the U.S.), Dolphins football, Panthers hockey, and the Everglades.

Nature lovers and active travelers will also appreciate being close to Snyder Park, one of Fort Lauderdale’s largest parks, Barkham at Markham Park—South Florida’s largest dog park and dog swimming lake—and one of the area’s largest outdoor pickleball complexes. Despite being close to so much, the neighborhood itself is quiet, peaceful, and tucked away enough that you’d never know you were in the middle of a city.

I’ve always loved the character of older Florida neighborhoods with their iconic ranch-style homes, mature palms, and retro kidney-bean pools that capture the spirit of classic Florida living. I wanted Piece of Paradise to feel like more than just another vacation rental—I wanted it to feel like a true Florida experience.

And if that’s not enough, just down the road you’ll find two Fort Lauderdale staples: Runway 84, serving locals since 1982, and Lester's Diner, a beloved classic diner that has been part of the community since 1967.

What makes Piece of Paradise unique is the level of personal intention behind every detail. I lived in the home while designing it, creating a space that feels authentic, comfortable, and thoughtfully lived in rather than staged like a typical rental. My goal was to create a stay that feels connected to the real spirit of South Florida.

Much of the artwork and styling throughout the home comes from my own travels and local exploring instead of mass-produced décor. Guests will find photography by local Florida photographers, custom wildlife artwork by local artists, vintage-style shipwreck treasure maps of South Florida waters, and themed bedrooms inspired by real parks, coastlines, and landmarks guests can visit during their stay.

As someone who genuinely loves to cook, I stocked the kitchen with many of the same cookware pieces, kitchen tools, and cooking essentials I personally enjoy using at home. I wanted the space to feel practical and comfortable for real meals, family breakfasts, and relaxed evenings together.

Guests will also discover small Fort Lauderdale touches throughout the home, including locally inspired books, Fort Lauderdale Monopoly, regional products, and carefully selected details meant to create a stronger sense of place and help guests experience more than just the tourist version of Florida.

Rather than creating a property that could exist anywhere, I wanted Piece of Paradise to feel unmistakably tied to Fort Lauderdale’s culture, history, wildlife, and coastal lifestyle. Every piece of the home was collected, planned, and chosen with care to create a stay that feels personal, memorable, and genuinely different from a standard vacation rental.
