Serene 3 BR home in Praia d’El Rey w/3 pools, near 3 fab golf courses & beach.
A serene home away from home.
You’ll be welcomed by a room with warm energy, high ceiling and plenty of natural light . The window doors open to the patio and covered seating area.
From the Master bedroom balcony one can see the golfers attempting to make a par on the 8th hole of Praia d’ El Rey, one Portugal’s Top golf courses.
The small kitchen is well equipped and every item you may need for cooking is available (Nespresso machine, aeroccino, coffee pods, salt, olive oil, sugar, and spices at are your disposal).
Books, board games, boogey boards and 3 pools in condominium (nearest is 100m away).
At night one can sometimes hear the waves braking ashore on the not so distant beach “Pico da Antena” in front of the Marriott, 15 min walk/ 5 min drive.
Neighbourhood:
A beautiful gated community of pink and grey cobblestone, palm trees, similarly designed houses and walls adorned with Portuguese mosaics.
- 3 Pools in condominium ( one heated by solar panels)
- Putting green & driving range just outside our gate and the Clubhouse just across the street
- Golfing in either of the 3 courses nearby: Praia d’El Rey (beautiful course challenging enough just at our doorstep), Royal Óbidos (my favourite,a Seve Ballesteros course), West Cliffs ( stunning views & challenging greens!) .
- Walking ( several trails with gorgeous views) & cycling in Baleal/Peniche.
- Kayaking, Paddleboarding in Òbidos Lagoon
- White sandy beaches of the Silver Coast (5-30 min drive).All pretty laid back.
- Surfing schools and Parasailing in Peniche.
Nearby towns:
Obidos 15 min - Must visit for a glimpse of Portugal past & traditions: Medieval wall city Castle, Bars & Restaurants, Chocolate and Ginjinha, A UNESCO creative city of literature.
Peniche 20 min (vibrant coastal town & surfing capital) - hosts the yearly World Surf League Championship Tour (WSL). Beautiful beaches and port to reach Berlengas archipelago a UNESCO marine biosphere, with pristine waters, great for snorkelling and diving.
Nazaré 30 min - BIG wave international surfing site with waves as high as 30mts, Old fishing village with beautifully preserved boats and their history displayed along the main promenade.
Caldas da Rainha 30min- Daily fruit market 8 AM- 1 PM. Cafés, Bars, Restaurants and Shopping.
Alcobaca 40min- Take a trip to the past and visit the majestic Monastery of Alcobaca.
Parque Natural Serras de Aire e Candeerios- 50 min. Natural Park with stunning limestone landscape and caves . Grutas de Miras de Aire- largest and most famous in Portugal. Great for hiking on several trails.

Have lived in several countries in 3 different continents and truly enjoy great hospitality, both giving the experience of and experiencing it ourselves. After travelling for work for over 2 decades, having a place to call home while away makes for a perfect holiday experience. There are 3 fantastic golf courses nearby, we being avid golfers it was a major selling point. The location is always cooler than the south of Portugal and Spain. Portuguese people are super friendly and welcoming, more so as we speak the language. We love the beach and quirky towns, overall a perfect location for us. Hopefully you’ll also fall in love with it and its people.
