SeaSwept, a four-bedroom, three-bath home located in Surfside Shores, is a true gem. Nestled against a large scrub oak-covered dune, the home is uniquely private, affording guests expansive Gulf views from the front sun deck, covered porch, screened-in porch, and open-concept interior common areas. Built in the 1980s and having undergone a complete exterior renovation and multiple interior updates in 2022, SeaSwept has proven to be a beloved vacation spot for guests and their families year after year.

SeaSwept's layout is perfect for larger groups or for multiple families vacationing together. The home features two private king bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The upstairs master suite occupies the eastern wing of the home and boasts raised ceilings, a high-end Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Euro pillowtop mattress, two nightstands, bedside lamps, closet, dresser, and a 40-inch smart television with complimentary YouTube TV access. The ensuite master bath has two separate vanities with sinks, walk-in shower with seat, and linen cabinet. This upstairs king master suite has a private access to the sun deck via a sliding glass door.

The downstairs king bedroom is located underneath the home and has views of the Gulf and its own private entrance from the ground level. This bedroom is quiet and secluded, making it ideal for those seeking additional privacy from the rest of the group. Escape from the intense heat of our Alabama summers thanks to the 15,000 BTU Mitsubishi mini split HVAC unit, which keeps this room cool. The downstairs king bedroom features a comfortable Zinus foam mattress, two nightstands, bedside lamps, chest of drawers, wardrobe, and a large television equipped with an Apple TV. An additional Keurig coffeemaker and mini fridge make this space easy to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or midnight snack without venturing upstairs. There is a small bathroom with toilet and shower located under the house as well; however, please note that this bathroom is NOT connected to the downstairs king bedroom and requires walking outside to access. The sink for this bathroom is located outside in the tiki bar area, which also features two countertop prep areas, a picnic table, Weber grill, and two exterior shower stalls with both hot and cold water.

The two additional bedrooms can be found on SeaSwept's main floor and include a queen bedroom and a bunk room with two sets of twin bunks. The queen bedroom has one nightstand, reading lamp, dresser, 32-inch smart television with complimentary YouTube TV access, and closet. The bunk room, ideal for children and preteens, has a chest of drawers, small desk, television and closet. These two bedrooms share the adjacent guest bathroom, which features a tub/shower combo, toilet, and spacious vanity with sink.

SeaSwept's common areas are ideal for gathering as a group, with amazing Gulf views visible from the large southern-facing windows and door in the dining room, kitchen, and den. The den's large wall mounted 65-inch smart television, equipped with complimentary YouTube TV access, is perfect for enjoying a movie together or keeping tabs on your favorite sports team while on vacation. Preparing meals here is a breeze, as the kitchen is equipped with plenty of pots and pans, utensils, small appliances, major appliances, baking pans, and more. SeaSwept can seat up to 10 people between the dining table and high-top table. The laundry room, located off of the den, is available to guests and equipped with a washer, dryer, iron, and ironing board.

While SeaSwept's interior is cozy and comfortable, its exterior spaces are the true showstoppers. There is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the amazing sights and sounds of the Gulf on the southern-facing sun deck, covered porch, and screened-in porch. The fantastic views, plus the collection of rocking chairs and Adirondack loungers, make relaxing outside irresistible! When you're ready to put your toes in the sand, simply walk across the street and find a spot on the neighborhood's private beach.

SeaSwept's close proximity to the neighborhood beach entrance, with unobstructed views of the sand and sea, and private king bedrooms makes this home an ideal vacation spot for families looking for quick and easy beach access.

For each rental reservation, a starter pack of supplies is provided, including: one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one travel-size bottle of dishwashing liquid, two dishwasher pods, two laundry detergent pods, one roll of paper towels, one trash bag per trash can, and a sponge. One bottle of hand soap is available in each bathroom.

Beach towels are provided for guest use, and are stored on the shelves by the dining table. We do not provide beach chairs or other beach equipment.

Guest must be 25 years of age to rent SeaSwept.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home, with the exception of a locked supply cabinet in the bunk room closet and a locked supply closet located off of the downstairs king bedroom.

Repeat renter discounts are available for past guests who have previously stayed at SeaSwept. Please send an inquiry for more details. Off-season snowbirds are also welcome.

Considering the coastal location, we strongly encourage guests to purchase travel insurance. Travel insurance is an economical way to protect your vacation investment in the event unforeseen circumstances occur such as sudden illness, injury, or natural disasters (such as a hurricane). VRBO offers travel insurance during booking; there are also numerous third-party travel insurance providers.

When vacationing along the Gulf Coast, please be mindful of the dangers posed by rip tides and rough surf conditions. Rip tide conditions are extremely dangerous and not to be taken lightly. Multiple drownings and near-drownings occur every year. Surf conditions are monitored and communicated daily to the public through a flag system. You may sign up for a daily text detailing current flags and surf conditions by texting "ALBEACHES" to 888777. You may also call 251-968-SURF (7873). Please be aware then when double red flags are posted, the waters are CLOSED to the public and it is illegal to enter the Gulf.

Furthermore, Surfside Shores is located near a wildlife refuge and is home to a wide variety of wild animals, including alligators, poisonous snakes, spiders, and more. Please be cautious of your surroundings, especially when near areas with more vegetation, and always watch your step.
