"Cozy cottage with the peaceful sound of the river passing below." That's how a guest described her time at our boutique cottage at Rivendell Haven, a riverside compound 5 miles from North Conway. Mornings on the deck with coffee and the river running below. Evenings on the shared lawn with kids playing outdoor games and the communal fire pit going. Sleeps four across two bedrooms. Across the street from a grocery store, minutes to Story Land and ski resorts.
One of our three cottages at Rivendell Haven, a five-property compound along the Ellis River. 5 miles from North Conway and a short drive from Story Land, Cathedral Ledge, and the Kancamagus Highway, the location keeps you close to the White Mountains while staying tucked back from the busier parts of town.
Our cottage is single-level with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, Bedroom 2 has a double bed. The full bathroom has a tub-shower combo. The open kitchen-living-dining space runs through the center of the cottage, with a dining area for four, the kitchen along one side, and a sofa with a smart TV in the living area.
The back deck sits along the river side of the cottage, Ellis River running below. Outdoor dining and a BBQ on the deck for slow mornings and evening cookouts. Beyond the deck, the shared lawn opens up to a communal fire pit (permit required), outdoor games, and a private beach access point along the river.

GUEST ACCESS Guests have full use of our cottage and the outdoor space around it, including the back deck and a private path down to the river. The communal fire pit, shared lawn, outdoor games, and private beach access are open to all Rivendell Haven guests (fire pit requires a $35 permit, seasonal). Self check-in via lockbox; code sent before arrival. Tandem driveway parking for 2-3 cars on the left side of the cottage.
HOUSE RULES • Check-in after 4 PM, checkout by 10 AM • 4 guests maximum • Quiet hours 10 PM - 7 AM • No pets, please • No smoking or vaping indoors, a $500 cleaning fee applies if the smell of smoke is detected inside the cottage. Please smoke outside and dispose of cigarette butts properly. • No parties, or events
FAQs • The communal fire pit requires a $35 permit purchased through the guest portal, and is not available in winter. Firewood is not supplied (available across the street at Grants Shop and Save). • Coffee maker is a Keurig; K-cups are not supplied. Bring your own. • The Ellis River runs shallow and rocky in spots; supervise children near the water. • The private beach is a shared access point for Rivendell Haven guests. • Wildlife is active in the area (bears, raccoons, and more); please secure trash in the dumpster at the back of the property and never leave it on the deck. • Cell signal can be spotty depending on carrier; iPhone WiFi calling helps once connected. • Across the street from a grocery store, 5 miles to North Conway, and a short drive to Story Land, Cathedral Ledge, and the Kancamagus Highway. • Lock Up- Please always lock the door and all windows upon leaving the Cottage. • Septic System - Please avoid putting the following down any drains: cooking oils, solid food waste, coffee grinds, paper towels, sanitary products, hazardous household chemicals, including bleaches, harsh detergents, disinfectants, gasoline, paint , drain cleaners, motor oil, etc. Also, excessive amounts of toilet paper will clog the septic and cause it to back up • Save on Power - Turn off electrical fixtures such as A/C and lights while not in use, especially when leaving the cottage for the day or after check out. • Professional cleaning between every stay. • Pack and play available upon request. • Management is always available for questions or concerns and can be reached through VRBO or by calling directly.

We are a family run vacation rentals management company with a handpicked collection of unique properties that we are proud to be sharing with guests. We spend allot of time searching out properties that we love and that our family enjoys for one reason or another and when possible add them to the portfolio. Patrick is a musician, New Englander from the Boston area and Adele is a literature professor from Belfast. We have two young girls and they love being along for the ride with their mom and dad while we work on our properties and luckily get the opportunity to stay the night in these rentals from time to time. We love creating homes that are special and being able to share them with guests that appreciate the experience.

Ever since I was a child my family had taken me up to the White Mountains for both skiing and winter sports and in the summer to explore the trails, rivers, lakes and just relaxing. As I got older, my love for the White Mountains has grown and we have explored the many unique qualities that the area has to offer.
Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial
Rivendell Haven is a compound of three cottages , a Barnhouse and a Farmhouse. These properties sit along side of the Ellis River with several hundred feet of Riverside. Each unit has its own private deck, wonderful views of the river and fully renovated interiors designed to accommodate small families, couples or friendly get aways. In the summer, there is the option to light a campfire, a secret path to a private sandy beach on the river, gas BBQ's will be provided and plenty of parking spaces on the premises. The Barnhouse will have a jacuzzi room and bar if you are interested in relaxing in the Jacuzzi after a long day of skiing or after a long day of hiking in the summer. This room will open up to a deck with a 10ft bifold door essentially connecting you to the outside.
The properties are set up camp style all in a row along the river but there is plenty of privacy when inside the units and within each properties living space. The location of Rivendell Haven is perfect for having the convenience of the necessities such as the local grocery market, Gas, Post office, restaurants, etc there are lots of options within walking distance or a quick drive. Bartlett is just outside of North Conway so it is a little quieter. You have Storyland and the aquarium are just minutes down the road which is great for families with children. Attitash and Mt Cranmore are just a few miles away. you have access to all the shopping in North Conway, local attractions and trails with plenty to explore.
