Situado en Gran Pea Gachas Pond en Madison, NH se encuentra este encantador de 2 dormitorios 1 baño de estilo saltbox casa de vacaciones con dormir hasta 5 personas. Disfrute de la gran cocina abierta y sala de estar con puertas deslizantes que conducen a la terraza y el nivel de patio trasero. También en la planta principal es un baño completo y lavadora y secadora en la cocina. El segundo nivel de esta casa cuenta con un dormitorio con cama de matrimonio (2 personas) y un dormitorio con cama doble y dos literas (3 plazas). Esta es una hermosa casa de vacaciones, pero la característica principal de esta casa es la espectacular cubierta "lacustre"! We had a very nice stay in early October, there for nearby hiking and fall colors. This is a very nice cabin/house, well-appointed and very clean. The accommodations are comfortable but the real charm, as the description notes, is the lakefront deck. We enjoyed sunsets with wine and early morning coffee on the deck with wonderful lake views. The cabin seems ideal for one family with the bedrooms (2) and bathroom (1) setup. It was ideal for us as a couple with no kids. The location was great for us near Kang. Highway, Madison Boulder, etc. and nearby towns. Highly recommend this cabin to others.

Great, relaxing pondside time

Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd visit to the property and we always really enjoy the quiet of the area and the kayaking and fishing on Pea Porridge Pond. The house is small but has everything we need.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We spent most of our time on the beautiful dock reading and swimming. We loved canoeing and hearing and seeing loons on the lake. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room is very cozy. The only drawback is that the two bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs with steep wooden steps going downstairs. So anyone with ambulatory problems should not consider.

We had a wonderful time staying and this cozy house for our visit to the White Mountains. The view was beautiful and so peaceful and the house had everything we needed. The house was very clean and we enjoyed our stay very much. The only complaint would be that one of the draws to the house was all of the great outdoor spots available to hang out, however we weren't able to enjoy them because everything was covered in a sticky sap that made the tables and chairs unusable. Maybe it was just the time of year, but for a house with so many beautiful sitting areas available this was definitely a bummer.

Quick get away

My son and stayed for 3 nights and other than all the rain while we were there, it was a nice place to stay. Lake is so peaceful and the use of kayaks and canoe was perfect. Lots of areas to sit and enjoy lake views. Would recommend.

Peaceful pond

My family loved our time on Pea Porridge Pond! The house was well-equipped and comfortable. The canoe and kayaks were in good shape; we had tons of fun paddling all over the pond. We caught a few large bass off the dock! Everything was really great with our stay!

"Ahhh, this porridge is just right"

Vacationing at the Village District of Eidelweiss on Big Pea Porridge Pond was a nice all inclusive experience with much to do for family fun. We missed having a canoe and a fire pit on site at the Pondside Escape location, but the overall experience was great with beautiful scenic views and close proximity to all that the White Mountains of New Hampshire has to offer.

wonderful weekend!

Lovely property, my kids husband and I were lucky enough to have the most beautiful weather for Labor day weekend! we enjoyed the lake, surrounding events/views/activities, sitting by the fire at night listening to the loons and star gazing and fishing from the dock at night. Just a heads up for others with littles considering booking, the shower is a bit difficult to get kids washed up too young to be able to shower, without literally being in the shower with them. Overall great weekend, would book again!

Pondside Madison

Location is very beautiful and tranquil. Drive-in access is a little daunting at first. Accommodations were spotlessly clean, well supplied and comfortably furnished. The kitchen was excellent. A more detailed description of the path to Pond from the house might be helpful advance information. Could not access Internet, TV, and thermostats even after following detailed instructions in notebook. (Phone substituted for internet and temperatures were moderate.) Absent that, a radio would have helped.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The lake was beautiful and very peaceful. We were so grateful for the canoe and kayaks and used them daily. Lovely place in the woods. The cabin was very clean. I found the furniture to be very worn and “cabinesque.” It probably wouldn’t bother most people but I covered them with spare sheets I brought. For the price they charge they could provide the convenience of a lockbox for keys. It’s a short drive to pick up and drop off but I feel for the expense of the rental they could provide this convenience. Very inconvenient especially when leaving since we had to back track and there is usually a bit of traffic in that area. Kitchen could use a crock pot, blender, coverable storage containers. Location made the inconveniences nothing. Absolutely beautiful and quiet location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect for those looking to get out of town, but still close enough. Great space for myself & 2 kids. We loved the kayaks & had the pond to ourselves, it seems. We did stay during the week, so we can't attest to what weekends look like in October. We unfortunately lost power the morning we were leaving. High winds will do that. I searched for flashlights and/or lanterns but didn't find any, so they might consider adding some for the chance that happens. It's a very shaded house in the trees & not a lot of windows for light. That being said, I'll absolutely still return!

Summer oasis

We just got back from a week at this lovely property. The house was tidy and comfortable. The pond was clean and beautiful. We loved kayaking/canoeing daily and also we brought floats and enjoyed them as well. The deck overlooking the pond was the best part by far. Beautiful views that we enjoyed all day. The kids bedroom was perfect sized and since we only have two kids they got to pick which of the three beds was theirs for the week. The air conditioning, especially in the bedrooms was greatly appreciated. We love our stay and hope to come back again next summer.

Tranquil Waterfront Property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for five days and enjoyed the peaceful nature of this tranquil lake property. Watched the sun rise over the lake and enjoyed using the kayaks, paddling around this beautiful setting. The air-conditioning worked great on a couple of hot days, making for a comfortable house. Close by to all the area has to offer, including a wide range of hiking trails. The general store in Madison has all the essentials, including some great pizza. Enjoyed our stay, would definitely return.

Beautiful, yet rainy week

Even with 4 out of 7 days in a downpour, it was clean and serene by the water. October, most of the colors had changed but the location to shopping, restaurants and tourist sights. The days doing nothing but reading by the wood stove were exactly what they were supposed to be.

Relaxing and good sleeping, love the gas stove!

Yes would recommend to friends. Only thing would suggest is to perhaps fix the bathroom fan and the refrigerator is a bit too loud, otherwise lovely property! Thank you for having us!
