Our guesthouse is situated in a wonderfully peaceful location, nestled in the midst of an idyllic garden, in the heart of Eggstätt. You’ll be able to relax wonderfully here, as no traffic noise disturbs the soothing silence. Our Bavarian-style house features four vacation apartments. The two apartments on the second floor leave nothing to be desired and are lovingly decorated in a traditional Bavarian style. All apartments have a balcony. Of course, you’re also welcome to use our large, sunny lawn, and the children can pass the time on the playground. The Gasthof Unterwirt is right next door, so your dining needs are taken care of, or you can enjoy the breakfast buffet (for a fee). Shops, banks, and other restaurants, as well as the nature reserve with Lake Hartsee, are also within walking distance. And so nothing stands in the way of a vacation where you can leave the car behind for a change! We warmly welcome you to Gästehaus Maria in the enchanting Chiemgau region.

Are you the romantic type? Then book our “Hochfelln” apartment. When you enter the apartment, you’ll find yourself right in the living area, with a typical Bavarian “Kanapee” (sofa bed) that pulls out to provide two additional sleeping spots. The corner bench with dining table is also typically Bavarian! There’s also a large flat-screen TV with a Blu-ray player here. A large skylight lets in plenty of light and sunshine, especially since it faces east. From here, you also have access to the extra-wide, covered balcony (facing north), which is equipped with a balcony table and chairs for your snacks. A small kitchenette branches off from the living room, featuring additional skylights. Along with a stove, sink, refrigerator (with freezer compartment), and plenty of dishes, it offers everything you need to prepare meals. A CD radio sets a cheerful mood in the morning. The hallway continues on. The shower room and separate toilet are located here. Finally, you enter the bedroom. Here, as throughout the entire apartment, a light, modern wood-look floor was recently installed. The bedroom has a large, comfortable built-in closet, and the cozy double bed is situated under the sloped ceiling. Directly above it, a large skylight offers a view of the stars. The window can also be darkened with a blind to protect against the sun. The “Hochfelln” apartment is thus a charming, romantic apartment, ideal for a couple seeking peace and togetherness.
Eggstätt is located in the heart of the Chiemgau region, right on the Eggstätt Lake District—Bavaria’s oldest nature reserve. Numerous hiking and biking trails invite you to take a relaxing excursion into the enchanting natural surroundings of Eggstätt. Lake Chiemsee is only 5 km away. We are located at an elevation of 539 m above sea level and have approximately 2,900 residents.
Our guesthouse is situated in a very quiet and central location in the village. The “Unterwirt” inn, located directly behind the house and long run by our family, offers additional amenities to complement your vacation rental. You’re welcome to have breakfast there, and the children can enjoy the inn’s playground.
