Grandes northwoods retiro para snowmobilers, pescadores y turistas

"Twin Pines" es un destino perfecto para los vacacionistas que buscan northwoods hermosos alrededores para "alejarse de todo" en cualquier momento del año. Las actividades de invierno incluyen motos de nieve, esquí de fondo, pesca en hielo, raquetas de nieve o simplemente relajarse en las tranquilas, pinos majestuosos. Actividades de primavera y verano son la pesca en los lagos cercanos o ríos, canoa, kayak, senderismo, montar a caballo atv, jugar al golf en campos de golf cercanos en Bigfork o Deer River, o simplemente disfrutar de una bebida junto al fuego o en la cubierta.

La casa está limpia, recién remodelado, y enclavado en el corazón del Bosque Nacional Chippewa. Está construido en el sitio de una "vuelta del campamento maderero siglo" (Campamento Cinco). La propiedad está en un camino de grava - a sólo 1 ½ millas de un camino pavimentado, carretera 14, y sólo dos millas del río Bigfork. Hay miles de acres de tierra adyacente estatal y federal con innumerables senderos y muy pocos vecinos. El círculo calzada hace que sea fácil para la gente a cargar y descargar las motos de nieve o vehículos todo terreno. Estamos acepta mascotas con un límite de dos perros bien educados por un módico precio.

La casa tiene capacidad de 4 a 12 personas. Pinos Gemelas está totalmente amueblado con todas las necesidades que se necesitan para disfrutar de sus vacaciones Northwoods incluyendo un juego completo cocina, parrilla al aire libre, televisión de pantalla plana y reproductor de dvd, dvd, juegos de mesa, air hockey de mesa, y una colección de libros de gran tamaño.     We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin. The property was clean, comfortable, peaceful, and had everything we needed to make our visit enjoyable. The cabin itself was charming and welcoming, and the setting was absolutely lovely.We were especially grateful to have such a comfortable place to stay while our family was in the area. Having a quiet, relaxing cabin to return to at the end of each day meant so much to us.The host was wonderful—responsive, accommodating, and made the entire experience easy from start to finish. We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful getaway. We would be very happy to stay here again!

    Our family had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Everything was great! Plenty of room, fully stocked kitchen, comfy furniture. We had a terrible storm while we were there. Within a minute of our phones alerting us, the owner texted us with a warning as well. The next day when heading to The Wilderness Wedding Barn for our son’s wedding, a tree was down in the road. We were able to turn around and get there with no further issues. When we came home the tree was cut up and the wood was stacked on the side of the road. Evidently people around there ride around with chainsaws for this very reason. Check in and check out was a breeze. I couldn’t recommend this property enough!

    A charming homestead in the middle of the Northwoods. This lovely home had so many positives! It was very clean inside and out and the grounds were well-maintained. There is a lot of history represented in this home, which my husband and I both appreciated. The house is very nicely laid out with a back deck for grilling and a 3 to 4 season porch in the front. The kitchen and bathroom are updated and the kitchen is roomy and well-organized. The hosts, Nancy and Jim, were very responsive to any questions we had and provided many thoughtful amenities which we appreciated. Our dog was clearly welcome with a defined space for his food and water bowls and there was plenty of space to walk him without needing to go to a park or hiking trail. There are, however, several beautiful areas to hike in the vicinity and the drive among the stately pines is gorgeous.We highly recommend this property and look forward to staying there again!

    Was the perfect fit for our family and everyone was comfortable. Very home like feel. Would absolutely book again! The lake we had family at was not too far although I wish the property had more local access to lakes you could walk to.

    Cute and Cozy

    Our stay was short but enjoyable! The owners had great communication and the cabin was clean when we arrived. Plus it had everything we needed to be comfortable. Lots of space! My friends and I would definitely recommend for an “up north” getaway.

    Beautiful and relaxing place!

    We wanted a nice quiet place to stay in the northwoods of Minnesota and this was a truly great spot down a gravel road. The house has a beautiful newer kitchen and bathroom, a comfy living room with a great TV, a nice dining area, and a great front and back decks. That we could bring our two well-behaved dogs made it perfect. The nearby town of Bigfork has a great pizza place, nice grocery store and cute little city park. There are lots of lake and river access points within 20 miles that we enjoyed too. The owner, Nancy, was so nice and responded quickly when I had questions. When a big storm rolled through she checked to be sure we were alright too. We would love to stay again and cannot recommend this place highly enough!

    This is a wonderful place to stay if you like long walks in the woods and quiet days on the lakes.

    This is our fourth year to stay at Twin Pines in late October. The Shaws are wonderful hosts and their home is comfortable, clean, and well stocked with all the basics. We bring our bird dogs and spend our days hunting in the woods. We would highly recommend it.

    Well set up. Quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed for a great vacation.

    Great Accommodations and Owner

    It's not the Ritz Carlton, but if you enjoy the outdoors and want to be central to Minnesota's North woods, you will love this house. It's perfectly located, well kept, clean, comfortable and complete with everything you need to cook and enjoy your time in the woods. The owners (Jim and Nancy) are wonderful people and wonderful "hands-on" Owners. The give you the quiet space you want but are responsive if you need them. I highly recommend this rental.

    Cozy feel, plenty of space

    This was our second time staying at the Shaw's rental. We felt very welcomed by the thoughtful touches that Nancy put out for us to enjoy. We recommend this rental, if you're in the area.

    Country Getaway

    The owners were very accommodating in making the reservations and communicating with us. The rental had plenty of very comfortable beds. I wish we could have stayed there longer, but a family reunion kept us busy for the time we were in the area. The rental had a bit of an old house smell, but the open windows provided plenty of fresh air. I would recommend this rental as a comfortable getaway.

    Great house!

    We spent 3 days in the cabin and really enjoyed it. It's a great house, with a lovely back yard and deck, very well equipped and comfortable. Has some nice areas to go visit nearby. Jim and Nancy where very nice and efficent when answering to all of our emails and questions. Only downside where the bugs and mosquitos. They're a killer.

    Family vacation

    We had a great time in the Northwoods. The house is clean and comfortable and fully stocked. We canoed down the Big Fork River, boated, fished, and hiked. Saw some wildlife but not as much as we expected. This is a pretty remote area - no cell service, no internet, no TV except for DVD's. It makes it hard to plan your daily activities and keep in touch. Bring the OFF - the mosquitoes and biting flies were horrible.

    Thank you for the review. Sorry the bugs were so bad, but as you know, we can't control that. Unfortunately, you were here during mid-summer when they tend to be worse, and this has been a bad year for mosquitoes in Minnesota. We do have a Three-Season Porch to sit in to get away from the bugs. For future reference, there are few bugs outside up here in May, early June, and in the fall, which are all nice times to be outdoors. Regarding no internet or cell, yes our home is in a "remote" area, and we hope to someday have internet service hooked up. That is on our "Wish List", hopefully in the near future. I also want to mention that even though you can't "call" on your cell at the house, you are able to send text messages. Thank you for choosing Twin Pines!

    Quiet Retreat in the Forest

    Want a neat getaway home for a family or two? Twin Pines is a comfortable and quiet getaway home in the Chippewa National Forest. It's super quiet and we loved sitting on the deck with coffee in the morning and listening to the birds. The nighttime sky is spectacular. Numerous lakes are nearby along with the Big Fork River for canoeing and birding. The wonderful Scenic State Park is about 20 miles east. The house is well furnished with games and books and everything you need for dining in. The upstairs loft has five beds and there are two bedrooms downstairs plus a sofa-bed.
