Winthrop sits beneath Mount Gardner and is framed by the rugged North Cascade Range. Just west of town, the iconic Liberty Bell Mountain rises near Washington Pass, while the Sawtooth Range stretches toward Mazama. Winter guests should also plan for snow tires or AWD when visiting the Methow Valley.
