It’s a bit of a walk to the ski out area. And a ways away from the village, but overall it’s a nice rental. Not high end but everything you need.

Great place for gathering of friends

Location was great. You can tell it's a rental (chipped paint, counter tops have a few holes etc) but it fit our needs for sleeping and hanging out. Kitchen is decently stocked (although is lacking oven mitts) and BBQ fulfilled its purpose. Beds are comfortable and the 2 fans were greatly appreciated and needed in the heat of the summer. It's not the Ritz but for the price, it worked for us.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Best location right on the bus stop to the village. Very cosy and homely, very spacious for a large group. Hot tub services were top notch along will all customer help for phone support that we needed!!! Highly recommended place to stay.

Unfortunately, this property didn’t quite match our group’s needs. It would likely suit a younger, party-oriented crowd better — one that prioritizes sleeping capacity over overall comfort.Given the rate charged, we had higher expectations for a few key items:-The master bedroom mattress felt underwhelming in quality and comfort for the price.-The kitchen pots and pans were quite worn and battered.-The toaster appeared unsafe, with exposed heating elements touching the frame.It would have been appreciated to find at least one small pack of coffee provided for the first morning and the packed snow was never removed from the entrance stair so I had to do it myself and the support pole for the beam going across the whole house was literally slipping off the concrete base so I can only wonder what would happen should it slip awayThe maintenance guys who showed up to check the hot tub were very friendly and even provide a loaner power cord which we needed. So, I guess the issues are between the management company and the owners.

Family get-a-way

Difficult to find using GPS maybe because we were unfamiliar with area. Space is perfect for family get a way. Highly recommended to others. Great view. Dishwasher top shelf was broken making loading and unloading difficult but it cleaned dishes. Not enough towels for all of us to have showers but there was hot tub towels to use.

Relatively to the price, the unit is not maintained well.First, we found the dishwasher leaking and not functioning on day 2 on a 5 night stay. This was the first time we used the dishwasher. Tried contacting Vacasa twice and received "we'll contact the local team for support", then nothing. Other things that are damaged are the patio door outside which is absolutely required as the door is impossible to open and close. They are "aware of the situation." But from prior rental experience, the door has been broken for 6 years. Other things that were broken include, the oven door handle which was glued together and the fridge drawers were broken and duct taped. The unit is quite loud with the squeaky floors and the running pipes. Other cleanliness issues were mold along the window frames and in the bathroom. The carpet could use a deep clean as well.I understand this is a rental unit however it appears that there has been some major neglect over the years.I did appreciate that the bedding was clean, and aside from the mold in the bathroom it was also clean. The view was great and the ski in/out was good.

Thank you for staying with us and sharing your feedback on the issues encountered. Please know that we are pushing to make as many changes and improvements in this home as we can. We are aware and agree that it is showing signs of age and usage now, and the owner has agreed to invest in some improvements. The dishwasher has now been replaced with a brand new one since your reservation. We are aiming for other appliances to be replaced in the spring. The patio door has been on order since last fall; it has come in, and we have scheduled the replacement for the end of January. We cannot do too much about squeaky floors and pipes, unfortunately, but we will organise professional carpet cleaning in the spring. We will also take a look at the bathroom mold and see how to get this fixed. We value your insights as they help us understand the guest experience better. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again for a smoother stay from start to finish.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I’m making an exception because I was extremely disappointed with our stay at Arolla Chalet D, Big White Mountain, BC. We booked this property over the August Long Weekend. we chose Big White only because this listing advertised a hot tub – we thought the kids would enjoy it in the evenings. Unfortunately, the hot tub was unusable. On the first night, it was full of black sludge. The listing said it would be “checked before, during, and after” the stay, but no one came until day 3 to drain it. It was finally refilled on day 4, but the water temperature was only 67° – far from usable. We lost all 4 nights of hot tub use. The hosts initially acknowledged the issue and mentioned a refund, but after checkout, they stopped responding completely. Parking was another headache. The chalet sleeps 9, but only has 1 spot. We were 6 people in 2 cars and were shocked to learn street parking wasn’t allowed. It caused stress every day. Other issues: many small plates were chipped, and basic maintenance was lacking. The place didn’t feel cared for, especially given the price. We booked for the hot tub. It didn’t work. Add the parking mess and poor upkeep – this stay was a complete letdown. Not recommended for families or groups. Look elsewhere.

Vacasa needs to work harder to personalize experience

Yes, the place was clean. Yes, the place generally met the description. The booking process was a little dehumanizing. Threatening me with the fact that I had not technically completed the identity confirmation phase of the registration with a possible outcome that I wouldn't be able to check in on the day of check in was not great. No HOTEL in the right mind would do that to a customer and expect them to return happy. And then to suggest I just text you for help for a faster response, only to take three hours to respond to my text with a request for me to call anyway? And then I am talking to a disinterested American Vacasa employee (I use the term loosely as you likely outsource) who wasted 15 more minutes of my time. THis all happened AFTER you took my money. Not cool. Unprofessional. Do I like the proerty yes. Did I like your service leading up to it? Not really. Can't say I did

Ski Holiday at Arolla Chalet D

Arolla D had a great layout, was spacious and extremely clean. The view of the valley and mountains was amazing. Parking was right in front with a short walk up the road to join the Serwa ski run.

Established Condo in Snow Pines area of Big White

Mixed reviews. Sunrises are absolutely spectacular. We are a family of 4 and with two bedrooms. One of us had to sleep in the open area and every morning went into a bedroom when others woke up. Although there enough beds for 10 people, seating and kitchen plates, etc. are for 5-6. Great property for a large number of people for sleeping. But seating for meals and around the Livingroom is better for 4-6. New pots and pans but dishes need to be updated as several were chipped. No wine glasses. Dog friendly!

Great Family/pet friendly chalet

Great quiet spot, about a 5 minute walk to the ski out but can pretty much ski right to the cabin. Don’t expect to be walking to the village for skating or anything you will need to drive. Cabin had plenty of beds was a bit older but everything was clean and has everything you need for a ski weekend.
