The Space:

Welcome to one of Surfside Beach’s most iconic properties—now available as a vacation rental for the first time ever. This A-frame is one of only a few homes built directly on the pedestrian beach, offering unmatched views and an experience you simply won’t find anywhere else. This is for UNIT 2, the CLOSEST to the ocean.



This is not your standard rental—it’s a truly unique stay that trades a few modern conveniences for an unforgettable setting right on the Gulf. From sunrises over the water to waves beneath your feet, it’s a coastal escape for those seeking adventure and serenity.



What You’ll Find Inside

- Two queen beds | Sleeps 4 (no extra guests permitted)

- Open living area with unbeatable views

- Ladder-style staircase to loft bedroom (very steep – see below)

- Private unit with connected decks (fenced dividers for privacy)



What You Won’t Find Here

No washer or dryer

No outdoor shower or hose

No grill

No dishwasher

Not suitable for children under 12 (unless you confirm comfortability)

Not handicap accessible



Access & Entry Notes

- Each unit has private stairs from the ground level

- This unit’s stairs are rarely impacted by the tide, but you may occasionally need to walk through water during high tide — part of the charm of being this close to the ocean!



Parking: 2 spots available, but they are public street parking (not guaranteed) at the end of Starfish Street



Before You Book — Read This

This A-frame is not for everyone. The stairs to the loft are steep—more like a ladder—and not suitable for young children, guests with mobility concerns, or those uncomfortable with climbing. The layout is compact, and some comforts are intentionally omitted to preserve the original structure and unique experience.



Water in Surfside Beach is safe, but like many coastal areas, it may have a slight smell or discoloration. It’s totally normal here and not a cause for concern.



Final Note:

You are booking this property at your own discretion. Please read the listing carefully and understand what this stay offers—and what it doesn’t. Guest Access:

You will have access to the unit via a lock box. There are private staircases for each unit, and the deck is shared between the three structures with a gate separating the units.

This listing is for UNIT 2, the closest unit to the ocean.

Important Note: This property is built directly over the ocean. During high tide, water will be present beneath and around the structure. At times, accessing the property may be challenging—you may need to walk through shallow water or carefully time your entry between waves. Please consider this before booking, especially if mobility or ease of access is a concern.



Other Things to Note:

- We highly advise guests purchase travel insurance during Hurricane Season. Hurricane season is June 1 - November 31st. If your reservation is affected due to a natural disaster, you will be able to reschedule your dates penalty free, but we will not issue full refunds. Refunds or rescheduling of dates will not be given due to inclement weather.

This is a truly unique property unlike most others you’ll find on the Texas coast. Because of its location directly over the ocean and its elevated, A-frame design, we strongly encourage you to read the full description thoroughly before booking.
