In the ground of his school, the owner’s 4-year old wondered off from his classroom, a teacher realizing he seems “lost” asked him:
Son where are you from?
His reply: I’m from Earth!
Her answer: well, that certainly narrows it down. Let’s see if I can help you find your classroom.
Although, his honest answer is comical, yet it describes a feeling the owner and his family share. They like to explore, travel, and see the world.
Born in Latin America, educated in Michigan, and worked for a number of years in New York City. He has visited a roaster of more than 40 countries for business and for personal reasons.
The owner considers himself an entrepreneur, a traveler, and works independently from any geographical location.
Met his sweet heart while traveling to Ukraine & formed a family with one child born in New York City, while his second child was born in Arizona. They consider themselves to be a truly international family and frequently haul off to a remote location as the opportunity arises.
When it comes to comparing people from different nationalities, it is imperative to frame that comparison in terms of “different” as opposed to better/worst or superior/inferior, says the owner. Thanks to their exposure to many cultures and travel, they realize the importance of keeping “an open mind”.
Because of their familiarity with accommodations on the road, they realize it’s very difficult to find a decent place to stay on short term bases. Time shares might not be available where you’re traveling to or one needs to sign a long term contract. Either choice was not ideal to them.
The idea of finding a place one could call home for a while is rare in many places especially if it has all the supplyware necessary to call it “home away from home”.
The owner and his family always wanted to build a place where anyone would feel at ease and the concept of an apartment hotel rental for short term bases was born.

The city of Quito has morphed into a flourishing and thriving community and it's evident by just observing the many new buildings, businesses, and infrastructure being erected. It's as if the city is going through its own renascence period of economic development.
Even with this transformation, Quito still exhibits proudly its colonial history, cultures, and traditions. It has found its balance between the new more modern way of life and its traditional ways of the past. A short trip to historic center, one can be dazzled by the contrast of Old town Quito skyline with the Andes valley surrounded by Volcanic peaks. These images form the back drop of new era of contemporary Quito.
Having traveled to Ecuador in a few occasions and to various other parts in the country, the owner and his family fell in love with this South America nation. The warmth of its people, the comfortable climate year around, and the selection of exotic finger-licking fruits made Ecuador a very addicting country to come back to.
Quito, being one of the main hubs for international travelers in Ecuador, rendered the capital city the best market to set up an apartment hotel for vacation rentals.
The owner chose the area of the Carolina because of its laissez-faire, laid back atmosphere, its proximity to shopping malls, and restaurants. The business community center around what is called Quito Norte and the Carolina Park is at its heart. The building is literally within a stone throw away from the park, the botanical garden, and the planetarium.
Many Quiteños (residents of Quito) consider this zone to be an upper class, safe, and well located neighborhood. Four main shopping malls are within an easy walk, too.
