No, no estamos en RiverWalk, pero tenemos más de una milla de frente al río San Antonio. Nuestra casa está ubicada en el campo, lejos de los ruidos y la congestión de la ciudad. Sin embargo, estamos a solo 15 minutos del Riverwalk, Alamo Dome, The Alamo, SBC Center (Hogar de los Spurs de San Antonio), Joe Freeman Coliseum y otros lugares y eventos emocionantes en San Antonio. Sea World y Fiesta Texas están a solo 30 minutos y Schlitterbaum, el parque acuático # 1 de Estados Unidos, está a solo una hora de distancia.

Estamos ubicados en 110 acres con más de una milla de frente al río San Antonio. Varias áreas agradables han sido despejadas para pescar y / o nadar. El senderismo y el ciclismo han sido los favoritos de muchos de los que se han quedado aquí. Estamos a minutos del Rodeo celebrado en San Antonio cada febrero. Hemos encontrado muchas puntas de flecha y otros artefactos indios en nuestra propiedad.

Esta es una casa grande y espaciosa (4,200 pies cuadrados) con muchas áreas abiertas. Hay un patio en el frente de la casa, una terraza afuera de dos de las tres habitaciones y un gran porche trasero perfecto con una terraza contigua para comidas al aire libre y entretenimiento. También hay una bañera de hidromasaje con acceso desde 2 de los 3 dormitorios.

La gran sala familiar tiene un televisor de pantalla grande de 70 pulgadas con sonido envolvente. El amplio salón tiene un sofá cama y un gran televisor de 32 pulgadas. El comedor tendrá capacidad para 20-22 personas cómodamente.

Requerimos $ 300. 00 depósito de seguridad a la llegada. Esto le será devuelto dentro de los 7 días si todo se deja en buen estado y no hay daños. También requerimos $ 100. 00 tarifa de limpieza.

What a great get away

We stayed here with our 3 young children and had the best time. Margaret and Jack are wonderful hosts and take so much pride in their home. The property is amazing and we had a blast playing in the river, going on walks in the woods, and having a campfire. Easy to get into town but is a perfect country getaway. Thank you!

Peaceful & Abundant, Low-Key and Organized

We came out to San Antonio for the recent eclipse. Our hosts were amazing, the house is amazing and the property is extraordinary. We walked several times around the grounds on the well-maintained roads and paths so we could get different views of the river. We barbecued out on the deck. We watched the local news for weather and traffic updates in the huge living room. Each room has its own exit to a patio area. The hosts were so helpful to us, and generous with their time, yet completely unobtrusive in any way to our privacy or schedule. I really hope we can go out again and bring the whole family next time.

Special stay

We really enjoyed our stay. Peaceful, safe, lots to entertain our small kids. The closet with toys for all ages really made a difference for us. We enjoyed a quiet short walk to the river. We will be back again:) thank you!

Amazing property

This was literally my dream home. The owners were very nice and accomodating. We were there for christmas with our family, and they left up their beautiful decorations for our family to enjoy. Highly recommend this property if you want to feel at home. My only regret is not having more time to explore the property. Thank you Margaret and Jack

Great family place

Margaret and Jack were amazing hosts and very helpful. The river is an easy walk to fish or swim. The house is very comfortable and has plenty of space. There are also many games and toys for the kids. My boys loved being out in the woods, but with that comes insects (ants, wasps, scorpions), but that didn’t deter us any. We loved this place and I would definitely stay again!

Great Getaway!

The property is beautiful... secluded, yet located less than 10 minutes away from anything you may need. I know everyone has different preferences but when my husband and I go on vacation, we go to get away from it all. This was perfect! The river is awesome. We spent most of our time in and around it. It's not quite the crystal clear water you might find on other rivers but it's beautiful, regardless. The best part? Unlike those other rivers, you're probably not going to see another soul on it! Felt like we had our own river. The owners do live on site as they clearly state on here. They have their own quarters inside the house, but you're not sharing living space. I know some people might be turned off by that but trust me, you won't even know they're there unless you need them for something. Mr. & Mrs. H are incredibly kind, helpful and knowledgeable about the history of this beautiful property... and there is a lot of history! As soon as our school year is wrapped up, we'll be returning and bringing the kids with us! We can not wait!

Family & Friends with lots of littles

We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves because the home was like staying at a family home. Kitchen stocked for big meals, lots of property for the kids to explore without the worry of other people around, toys/games and toiletries I hadn’t expected to be there, but it was nice to have available. We felt welcome!

Beautiful Property

We loved our stay! We had plenty of room for our group of 6. This was just what I was looking for. It was great for me and my husband who love to fish, hike, and explore. It also worked well for our friends who don't enjoy nature as much. They were able to relax in the beautiful home or make a short 10 minute trip to town. Margaret and her husband were very welcoming and wonderful hosts. I look forward to coming back!

Relaxing Adult Weekend!!

We stayed at the property with 2 other couples, the house was everything we hoped for and the owners were great! The men really enjoyed chatting with Jack! The fishing was easily accessible but we didnt end up catching much. Overall a great property!!

Beautiful Location and Very Spacious!

Overall, our family reunion stay was wonderful! A lot of space to spread out and have privacy as well. Jack and Margaret have all the fixings at the house and are very kind. We enjoyed their stories and the decor of the house show their travels. We look forward to another stay if possible:))))

Relaxing time

House is large and spacious, great for a big family. Property is vast with multiple scenic river spots. Wildlife is abundant, saw lots of turkeys and rabbits. Can hear coyotes at night. House is very well equipped, especially the kitchen . Location seems far out but it’s 25 minutes to almost anywhere in the city . H‑E‑B and Walmart are less than 15 minutes away Hosts were very helpful but also mindful of our privacy . We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again

Home away from home

Wish we would've had more time to enjoy all this home and property have to offer. Owners do live in the same home, which is normally something my husband wouldn't have liked, but they are not at all a bother or invading. Their hospitality is amazing, and we truly appreciated them and their home. It has all you need for a comfortable stay. We have 3 toddlers so there's always something you need for them, be it play pen, toys to keep them entertained, or a high chair and this home has it all. Lord willing, we'll be returning very soon. If you needed some reassurance whether this is the place to book or not, here it is. Thank you, Jack and Margaret!

Family Vacation

Loved the location, Margaret property manager was respectful and informative. Very private, enjoyed the grill and the fire pit area and jacuzzi. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. We felt welcomed!

Home away From Home

This was a special get together with my family of 12 and Margaret and Jack just made it that much more special!!! Beautiful scenery, very peaceful and meets every need you have!!! Very spacious home that makes you feel at home! Seems like it gives you something you have been missing without even knowing that you were! Explorers ( read their story )

The house is secluded,Marg and Jack live in the house. Truly you just need to bring food. The kitchen is fully equipped and they have plenty of games to play. The river is not easily accessible, but with balance down nature trails you can enter the water from 3 locations. Our host were available if we needed them and. were willing to engage in conversation if you wanted to hear stories. They built the house 18 years ago and it is massive beauty. Mother Nature has not been kind and you can see where the house has settled, but that didn’t take away from its design and openness. This house is in the country, so bring bug spray if you like to set outside at night.

Jack and Margaret enjoy sharing their home with others. We are an elderly couple with 5 children and 14 grandchildren. We have both vaccinated for Covid-19 and we are extremely carefully about sanitizing our home before and after our guests come and go.

We actually live in the house. It is our home. However, when guests are here we stay in our master suite (a 4th bedroom). We have our own entrance to and from the house. We have our own bathroom and kitchen and do not need to share any of the rest of the house with our guests. We are here for you but we do not interfere with your activities at all. We love having families here.

Located on 110 acres with the San Antonio River as a border on one side, we are in the country yet only 8 miles from Brooks City Base where you find restraurants, shopping, banks, gas, hospital - everything you need.

We are within 25 minutes (more or less) of Lackland AFB and Ft. Sam Houston.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We are blessed with all kinds of wildlife. The Cardinals frequent our back yard. You can hear the Owls at dusk and the Peacock sounds off on a nightly basis. When walking the trails you might see squirrels, racoons, wild turkeys and wild hogs. The river provides a haven for ducks and has given up quite a bit of catfish, perch and bass.
