The Space:

The Caribe Resort is an amazing destination in and of itself! Situated on a secluded 30-acre peninsula, some of the many amenities you will enjoy at the Caribe include a relaxing 980-foot lazy river, two waterslides including one kiddie waterslide, a BBQ area, putting green, two tennis courts, a bocce ball court, pool pavilion, designated fishing docks, an on-site marina and restaurant. Additionally, the three towers that comprise Caribe Resort - B, C & D - each offer an indoor pool (heated during winter months), indoor hot tub, sauna, fitness center, and a zero-entry outdoor pool.

THINGS TO KNOW

Parking is limited to two (2) vehicles per reservation with one parking space being reserved and the second first come, first serve. Parking passes to be purchased on resort premises from the reception desk at Building B.

Please note additional amenity charges may be required and are subject to change. Any kayak, boat, or jet ski rentals as well as services such as dolphin cruises and fishing charters booked through the Caribe Marina will also have additional charges.

Caribe Resort is located on Old River and offers deeded beach access just across the street to the Gulf of Mexico. The resort does provide a trolley service to and from the public beach access point at the tip of the peninsula.

Great stay!

We were very pleased with our stay!! The rooms were excellent and the facility was perfect!! With 3 small children and all the pools and slides were amazing!

Unit was very clean and spacious. Beautiful view of the gulf from the balcony . We loved having all of the ice that we needed with the huge ice maker. More hot water would have been nice when using the large tub but everything else was great!

Amazing

The Caribe Resort is by fsr the best place we have stayed. This specific unit PHB12 was amazing. Very clean, huge, well maintained and the view was amazing. We will definitely be booking here again.

Winter break

We have stayed at the Caribe before and truly love this resort. This condo has the most spectacular view of the ocean that I've ever seen. I particularly liked the new carpeting. Some of the furniture bordered on shabby.

Great view, but missing details

First of all, the experience was strange from the beginning. We booked through Vrbo, but then all communications came through Vacasa. That was confusing. But the bigger issue is that the apartment lacked many basic things. We had to buy extra trash bags, toilet paper, and paper towels for example. I’ve stayed in many rentals and that was a first. They could do a few little things and really improve the experience. We left lots of stuff there- dishwasher pods, trash bags, etc, to hopefully get this going :). On the positive side, the unit was very clean and had a wonderful view.

Lots of Options

The Caribe has options for all ages, my 82 year old mom to my 11 year old granddaughter. Some of the pool decking needs updating and the golfing deck was closed, but facilities were otherwise nice. We had a problem with the refrigerator and could not get a response to get it fixed, but the freezer and lots of ice were available so we managed. The unit was fantastic!

Check in and everything was easy. Didn’t know I had to pay 50$ for 2 parking spots, would have assumed that wS included an didn’t see it in reservations but may have missed it. Beds had only an extremely thin blanket more like a sheet. Had to get extra blankets for all beds. The lazy river and 2 off outside pools and 1 hot tub were closed. Everything else was homy and nice

Great Penthouse level condo

A little confusing getting information out of Vacasa regarding parking. Communications kept involving copy and pasting same info from website that wasn’t actually answering questions asked. Room comes with two parking spaces available but requires you to purchase parking passes for them in order to use them. The actual property was great! Tons of great amenities to take advantage of. The listing said “beachfront” but is not on the same side of the highway as beach so not technically beachfront if that’s what you are looking for.

Off season escape

Pros: Caribe has excellent pools and hot tubs. The location is great because it’s an easy walk to the beach, and many wonderful restaurants are within a 5-10 minute drive. This unit has a spectacular ocean view. All Caribe units are quite spacious with nice kitchen appliances. Vacasa property management was quick to respond when our thermostat malfunctioned; was replaced immediately. Cons: I have stayed in many units at Caribe. The furniture and TVs in this unit are quite dated. The kitchen pots, pans and utensils look like they belong in a hoarder’s house instead of a penthouse. The teflon lining on the pans was literally rolling off; they were unusable. There were no measuring cups except for one glass one. Dishes were mismatched and glasses were limited. 100 would go a long way to update that kitchen. Overall a good stay and good value

Beautiful View!

This is our second time to stay at Caribe. The view from this room is beautiful! When we checked in, we were a bit surprised by the lack of cleanliness. There were crushed up cookies in a guest room, cookies behind the pull out sofa, a chunk of hair in the master, and all of the showers were dirty. The surfaces were not clean and a few light bulbs were out or missing. My children had to sleep on a mattress (with a blood spot on it) in the floor because the pull out sofa did not work. Maintenance repaired it the next day. My Aunt had to sleep on blocks due to the box springs being crushed. The oven does not work well. The utensils for the grill is rusted over. Come prepared to supply your own trash bags, laundry soap, and dishwasher soap. Two of the pools were not usable. This isn’t an owner issue, it is whomever is contracted to take care of the unit issue. It needs a lot of TLC. With that being said, the view is incredible!

First, I didn’t realize I booked a penthouse, I was just booking to accommodate my kids. It was perfect! My family was impressed and enjoyed having there own space. Secondly, the location was also nice. The resort was clean and very friendly service. The keys left under the mat was a problem, due to only one out of three worked. Due to me not booking directly with Carible they were hesitant with changing out my keys. They advised me those other two keys were for another unit. Overall, I have no complaints.
