Beautiful property right on the beach

Overall decently appointed property with spacious rooms. The pool, tiki hut and location right on a quiet stretch of beach were great! Selection of restaurants and grocery stores 1/2 mile away. Kitchen lacked a few staples but we made due. Would be gorgeous if a few trash items around the edge of the fence line were cleaned up.

The property and location was perfect for us and this was our 10th trip. We rented a golf cart in Flamingo and it was all we needed to get to restaurants/shopping. Erwin was there for everything we needed and keeps the grounds beautiful. The covered patio right on the beach is a huge plus.The only complaint we have is the master bed is very hard and uncomfortable and the pictures posted are mixed with all the units so it did not have the views/living room in the master like it shows but it was still great. We would definitely stay here again.

Lacking amenities

For a 2 year old building it is not well cared for. Erwin does very little each day and is poorly suited for the job, due to his terrible english and reclusive manner. Plant material left on patio/pool area. The pool was dirty and turning color but erwin continued to add chemical with no testing. A back flush of the sand filter was in desperate order. The kitchen was poorly stocked. Every meal was reminiscent of camping. The upholstery on couches and chairs was very dirty. The patio furniture is folding table and chairs and therefore extremely uncomfortable. The washer flooded the entire laundry room leaving us to hand wash our clothes. Absolutely nothing supplied for guests including toilet paper, dishwasher soap or laundry supplies. We even bought our own iron and left it for future guests.

Amazing property!

This property is everything that it says in the listing and more. We stayed in the villa on the 1st floor. There were 6 of us staying in the villa so the fact that we had 3 bedrooms, all with king sized beds was perfect. The infinity pool is just outside the door and just a few steps beyond that was the ocean. The property is very secure with gating all around it. Ervin our maintenance guy was super attentive and always helped us with whatever we needed. Potrero is not the busy touristy place that you will find in Coco or Tamarindo but it has restaurants and grocery stores close by and has a gorgeous beach. We can't wait to go back.

Great Pool

The kids loved the pool and beach! Good location as its close to restaurants etc but quiet too. The pool area and landscaping is lovely. There are three suites (3 levels) that are rented, so you will share the pool area with them. If you are on the first level, the pool is right in front of your suite, so if there are people hanging out at the pool you don't have privacy unless you close all of your blinds. It wasn't bad for us, but the pool could get busy. The stocked kitchen could use some work. The pots, bowls etc....Also we had to buy laundry soap, dishwasher soap, salt, toilet paper (very little there). Also, maybe the cleaners could use a less scented cleaner or less of it, because the place was soooo smelly for the first 24 hours. I am sensitive to smells so I had a headache until we could air it out, but even my husband who isn't sensitive to smell found it very overwhelming. I would reccomend this rental for the pool and beach. Thanks for the stay.

Beautiful place and great location!

Very nice place, lots of room for 2 couples, great pool and cabana! Located outside of town a bit on a very quiet beach, but close to bars and restaurants. Ervin takes great care of the property and was very helpful! Recommend a recycling bin to put plastic/cans, etc. in and directions on what to do with recycling and garbage. Also needs dishwasher pods, since doing dishes in the one small sink is a challenge. Super place and we had a super time, wish we'd have stayed longer!

Nice property in a nice location

Very nice location, secure and nice accomodations. The helper Erwin was very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Everything worked in the condo we had. Price is reasonable and there are nice places to eat close by as well as small grocery stores. A few suggestions: The hot water heater is set too high which makes the water temperature hard to control as well as adding cost of operation in electricity. It still has the plastic wrapping on it which I see as a fire hazard. Turning on the AC an hour before the renters arrive would be a nice touch. Lastly there is a tree that cuts right into the center of the view of the ocean so may a trimming would be in order. We really enjoyed our stay and would return if we go back to Portrero. Exceptional value for your money

Nicely furnished,large three bedroom apartment. The huge kitchen is well equipped. The view to the ocean through some foliage of trees and the soothing sound of the waves from the ocean gives you the feeling being in a tropical paradise. The huge pool surrounded by tropical plants invites you to relaxing hours. Then, for a change the beach is just a few steps away. The proprietor is trying to give his best, whatever on special needs somebody might have.

It is a completely new building that opened in 2018.

Walk up to the sound of Waves. Be surrounded by nature. It is a quiet place but all things are close by and the access is very easy through good roads.
Elevator is in house .
