Esta casa tiene un montón de carácter!
Casa de 4+ dormitorios y 2 baños situada en el tranquilo vecindario arbolado de Charlevoix. Cocina renovada y suite principal con granito y acero inoxidable. Dos chimeneas de ladrillo / gas. Cubierta de madera con vistas al bosque de pinos directamente fuera del comedor. Camina hasta la playa del lago Michigan, las dunas en el monte. McSauba park, o el centro de Charlevoix en cuestión de minutos. Nivel inferior completo con cama completa y futón.

The best spot in Charlevoix!

This house is in an ideal spot, a quiet neighborhood that’s walkable/bikeable to both downtown and nature preserves. Sharon is an excellent host, and we’ll definitely be staying there again!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this lovely house this past week! The house has such nice spaces to gather and visit. Comfortable couches in the living room, a spacious dining room, and best of all, the beautiful back deck where we laughed into the evening. The kitchen was better equipped than any place we've ever rented and that was nice for our big family. We could walk down to the beach easily, too. The house is a very short drive to town and other beaches. There were nice beach towels and two chairs for use there. Overall, lovely spot to bond with family and friends. We are so grateful!

Lovely house in excellent, serene location

Beautiful home with plenty of room and all the amenities…we enjoyed the peaceful setting…saw deer every morning while having coffee on the deck. We will definitely be back. Our vrbo host was very kind and accommodating…we very much appreciated the opportunity to stay in her lovely home.

Beautiful Home in the woods near the beach!

This was one of the most exceptional homes we have stayed in over the past 8 years of renting through vacation home platforms. The beds were comfortable, it had everything we needed to cook. Laundry for the kiddos’ clothes was helpful mid-stay. We’d love to return in years to come!

Amazing house!

This spot is far enough outside of town to feel like you’re in the woods, but still very walkable to beaches and downtown. Host was very helpful and quickly responded to any questions we had. Absolutely will be staying here again if we can!

Great location

We had a great stay at our place. Sharon was a great host and communicated with us in a timely manner. We were even able to check in early. The house is great in a awesome neighborhood close to all the beaches, shops and restraunts. Plenty of space for a family and endless amenities. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it!

Inside home could be cleaner, property great!

The property was great. Very good location to ride bikes to Charlevoix. Very roomy. Password given for Wifi not working- disappointing and TV instructions could have been better in the fact that it was difficult to get the TV to turn on and no clear instructions as to what channels were available. Although we did have fun and enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable and relaxing!

We absolutely adored Sharon’s place. It’s the perfect location. 25 minute walk to town which we did everyday with our 3 kids ages 8, 10 and 12 10 minute walk to the beach. Deer sightings every day. It was truly a dream. Plenty of space in her house for us all to spread out. Sharon’s communication was top notch, she’s an absolute sweetheart. We so hope to be back again!

Best Family Vacation

Staying here in Sharon's home was a fantastic experience. She is the nicest host you could ever ask for. And the home is beautiful. There wasn't anything we needed that wasn't there. And the deer are an amazing part on their own. They were out back in am and pm. And we saw deer all thru the neighborhood. Beat host and best house we have ever had.

Relaxing!

This property is everything and more than advertised!! We truly enjoyed our stay. We did not communicate with the owner often (only for additional keys) and she arrived the next morning as promised. Wonderful experience!

This house is very comfortable and in an excellent location. Our group of 6 adults found it very cozy, yet we all had our own private space when needed. The location is easy walking distance to downtown Charlevoix (1 mile) and a beautiful Lake MI beach (5 minutes), and a reasonable drive to hiking, biking, boating, and sightseeing adventures outside Charlevoix. The house was very well provisioned for cooking and eating in. We enjoyed watching the deer from the backyard deck. We would definitely recommend and stay at Sharon's place again!

Family getaway

Location was great, it was secluded but at the same time was not far from grocery stores or restaurants. We had bikes and easily could bike to the beach or downtown. Roads near house are mostly 25MPH and a bike trail is nearby. Plenty of space for our extended family (8 adults and 3 kids). I will warn the stairs to get into the basement are spiraled which could be an issue for some. Really enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning drinking coffee and watching/listening to the wildlife. Would absolutely consider returing again.

Overall the accommodations were excellent and suited a large family very well.

Even though the home has been nicely upgraded with newer bathrooms and kitchen it is still an older home where some windows did not function properly. The home is larger than it appears on the web sight with large bedrooms and living area. It's located in a lovely quiet neighborhood and is only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 to 20 minutes to down town. There are wonderful hiking trails within a 10 minute walk. The kitchen is well equipped and there are multiple T:V's. Also the owner was very responsive to requests. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked well even though it was not needed most of our stay.

Great except it smelled like mold/mildew which caused some allergic reactions

We thought the location and house were great except for the mold/mildew smell. A few of us felt like we were having allergy type reactions and chest congestion. For example, in the second floor bath room, you could see that the wall next to the tub seemed like it had problems with water... like the sheetrock had been wet. Also a minor issue was that the network password was not quite correct in the book provided... it had an upper case letter instead of lower case, which of course makes a difference with passwords. A few of us kept trying to get it so I called and Sharon gave us the right password. She was very nice and always responsive.

Perfect convenient location

This property is perfect. We have a grown family now 8 adults (and one infant grandchild) and I try to get places that can accommodate with a beach, and fun shopping experiences and distractions, for iffy weather and the like, and great food. This place has it all, and then some. It is very roomy and comfortably slept is all and had space to spread out. Everything is within walking distance. It has great areas to bike ride. You can take a ferry to explore. There are great places to eat, and a grocery store close, for if you want to stay in. The beaches are really convenient for if you have kids. The yard is large to play in. It opens to a natural area for privacy. The house is equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable. The host even went and got a high chair for us (only because I simply asked if she had one!) which she didn’t have to do. She was very responsive and reachable for questions. I highly recommend this place if you feel like a great stay in a great town. Really can’t say enough. Thank you Sharon.

Great House in a Great Location near a Great Lake

My family and my cousin's family (seven total) stayed here in June of 2017 and had a fantastic time. The property is on a very quiet street with few cars going by. The yard is cute, woodsy, shady, and well kept with backyard seating and a deck on both front and back with more casual seating. If you're traveling with bicycles, there is space in the garage for a fleet of bikes and Charlevoix is a very bike-friendly region. Short trail and woods behind house leads to playground, basketball hoops. Overall very nice property - only wish there was a fire pit for cooking' s'mores. And maybe a hammock! The house is a neat and interestingly laid out A-frame. Lots of warm wood interior with a huge vaulted ceiling main room. Everything was clean and every room was very well furnished - plenty of towels, linens, blankets, etc. The kitchen could have used a tea kettle but otherwise had everything we needed for cooking for 7. The 2 full bathrooms were good and clean. There are four bedrooms plus a basement room/bedroom. All three upstairs bedrooms are very nice. The master is a little snug with a king bed in there but it opens to a balcony over the back yard where our cousins saw does and fawns every morning. Main floor bedroom is cozy albeit a little dark - just needs another lamp. The basement room is fully finished - very clean and neat - smelled a bit musty but lessened as house aired out. Overall, the beds and bedrooms were very comfortable. Lovely town and area. The main strip of shops, ice cream parlors, and restaurants is less than a half hour walk - and a nice walk at that. Grocery store, movie theater just a little past that. Access to a Lake Michigan beach is easy 10 minute walk - partially along a slightly busier road so I wouldn't send youngsters off to the beach by themselves. A bigger beach with swings, slides, bathrooms is on the west side of the inlet. A 15 minute walk east from the house are woodsy hiking trails, a disc golf course, and access to a beautiful nature preserve. Want warmer, calmer waters? head to Ferry Beach on Lake Charlevoix - nice, sandy beach and we rented paddle boards there - lots of fun! The region is beautiful in every direction. If you like breweries, Jolly Pumpkin in Traverse City and Beards in Petosky are top notch beer AND food! No shortage of things to do. Finally, the property manager is VERY accommodating, nice, and easy to communicate with. What few minor problems we had were taken care of promptly.

Really, really nice home. Extremely clean—and I am fussy!—and comfortable. It’s very quiet apart from the foxes we heard barking at night. Close to downtown Charlevoix and very walkable, super close to a beautiful and nearly private beach. The shower and bath in the master were very luxurious! Sharon was an excellent host and very responsive to any questions I had and solved every issue immediately, and they were all just minor logistical issues. It was a delightful home and I highly recommend it. We had four adults and a teenaged boy on our trip and we all had plenty of space. Thank you, Sharon!

Nice quiet location close to beach and restaurants and shops

The house was spacious for the 5 of us, clean and about 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride to the beach. The beach access is a bit of a steep sand dune to get down to but the beach is beautiful. It’s about a 20 minute walk to town but a short drive. The house provided 2 adult bikes and 1 child bike which were helpful to just explore the area which is lovely. The jet shower and tub were a nice treat. Be careful not to leave on the heat switch in the upstairs bathroom which blows hot air as it may set off the smoke alarm. The switch should be labeled but after speaking to the seller, we figured it out. The seller really provided anything you could need while you are there and is very communicative. It took awhile to figure out which light switches when to which lights. The house is quite dim inside so we found ourselves turning on every light we could fine. Two center ceiling lights were not working and would have been helpful. There were extra lightbulbs but could not be reached without a very tall ladder. This was communicated to the seller. Also, there is one full length mirror downstairs but no mirrors in the bedrooms. Adding mirrors would be helpful. We enjoyed the two new fawn that were recently born visiting the backyard and surrounding area. The backyard is just beautiful and you will enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine out there. Charlevoix is a wonderful place to visit. A drive to Mackinaw City and ferry to Macinaw Island are a must. The nearby town of Petofsky is also beautiful with plenty of restaurants & shops.
