We were in town for a wedding and can’t imagine a better spot to relax and enjoy in between wedding activities. The property and grounds are beautiful, the animals all friendly, and hostess Michelle was so welcoming and kind, we really had a wonderful time. Already recommended this to friends and family looking for a getaway!

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The hostess was very accommodating and friendly. We really loved all of the animals! The property is beautiful and there was plenty to do in the area.

Wanted a relaxing weekend away and that’s exactly what I got. The property was really wonderful and Michelle was accommodating and quick to respond, including a great restaurant recommendation. Close to several hiking and biking trails and getting to interact with the horses was an added treat. Will definitely be planning another trip back in the future.

Staying at the cottage was amazing. Michele is a fabulous host and she makes you feel like you are family. She is very accommodating and genuinely wants your time there to be everything you imagined. We got to meet all of the animals, swim in the gorgeous pool, and even did s’mores by the fire at night. It was the perfect place to stay for our family weekend getaway.

We loved our stay! Michele and John are wonderful hosts. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the horses. The kids especially loved the pool. The cottage is well kept and close to lots of activities - we ventured out to Harpers Ferry and one of the local vineyards. Would stay here again and recommend highly!

The pictures on the listing don’t do this property justice as how just how beautiful it actually is. Our host was incredibly sweet and was very generous with letting us walk the property and interact with the animals as much as we wanted. Our cottage was stocked with everything we needed, was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The property is close to everything we wanted to do near Harper’s Ferry and was an amazing place to relax. We plan to make this a yearly trip now.

Beautiful property. Was visiting family near by, and staying here was a quiet comfort. Loved being with the horses. Every detail was perfect in the cottage. Michelle is a wonderful hostess and very responsive.

Unmatched hospitality!! It was more like a welcoming family. Michele, John and their farm team were all so friendly. Everything in the cottage was thought out and ready for us. The welcoming crew of horses, dogs, goats and donkey were so fun to watch and engage with. 10/10 We are excited to come back and bring our girls! Rest, relaxation and a little horse fun!!

If I could give six stars, I would. Michele was an incredible host, very communicative, very warm and welcoming. She was so excited to see my daughter interact with the horses and other animals. The workers in the barn were also so friendly, bringing out treats and snacks for my daughter to give to the animals. The cottage itself is beautiful and comfortable with no issues or complaints there. Michele also has a thrift store in the main house with some AMAZING finds. Don’t forget to stop in and look around there! I’d 1000% recommend the cottage and would love to stay again in the future.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Michele’s cottage! I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back. The cottage was so beautiful, cozy, and comfortable. We slept so well in the peaceful countryside. I was traveling with my toddler and Michele thought of everything we might need. She was so sweet and had a little toddler bed all ready for him, plus a bin of coloring books & crayons, a few toys/stuffies, reading books and games. I had a few slightly odd requests and she accommodated them all. She even had a little surprise tricycle and an outdoor bin of fun kids sports equipment. We didn’t get to use the pool because it rained most of the time but it looked very clean and inviting. We loved seeing the happy horses frolic about in the beautiful pasture and my son had fun feeding them a few apples. The goats and other animals were cute and fun to interact with as well. Thank you again Michele for a wonderful stay! Can’t wait to come back for another stay someday.

Our host was wonderful. She was responsive and accommodating. The space was beautifully decorated, and the property was even more gorgeous. We will absolutely be staying again. We had a lovely stay, and could not have been more pleased.

My favorite vrbo yet!! Michele (host) and her husband were beyond lovely!! Allowed my children to ride the horses. My son rode all over the property on a battery operated jeep which he loved!! The pool was an added bonus! She has hammocks overlooking the horses in the pasture. It truly is a slice of heaven! The cottage has everything you need and was spotless. Will definitely be coming back!!

We have stayed in many vacation rentals in this was the best one in every aspect.Very recently priced beautiful property was well appointed interacting with the animals was an added bonus and they werr the most welcoming hosts we've ever experienced. Hands down our best stay ever!!!

Michele and her husband were fantastic hosts! We loved staying at their mountain retreat Michele’s care for her animals is evident, and she was gracious to let us spend time with the horses as well, and learn all their unique stories. We came here for a quiet bachelorette party. It was close to many winery’s, the Appalachian trail and Harper’s Ferrry. Everyone in our party agreed we would love to visit again someday! If you’re looking for a quiet comfortable clean place in a mountain setting, with the added bonus of enjoying being around horses. This is the place for you.
