Hiking in the Black Forest National Park, a shopping trip to Baden-Baden, Europa-Park in Rust—there’s something for everyone.<br><br>The Feder vacation home offers 140 square meters of comfortable space for up to 8 people. The non-smoking house spans the basement, first floor, and first floor and is thoughtfully equipped for relaxing days with family or friends.<br><br>The three bedrooms are perfect for a good night’s sleep: the Blue Room with a double bed (180x200 cm) and a work nook; the Green Room with two single beds, ideal for children or separate sleeping areas; and the Purple Room with a box-spring bed and a cozy sofa that doubles as a bed. A crib is available; upon request, we can also provide a travel crib. All windows and doors are protected by mosquito nets. The air conditioning in each bedroom ensures comfortable temperatures on warm days (for a fee).<br><br>The spacious kitchen-living area combines cooking and socializing: a dishwasher, oven, induction cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, and all necessary utensils make meal preparation a breeze. The cozy living area, with a large sofa, reading nook, and books, invites you to relax; the TV and free Wi-Fi provide entertainment. The dining area seats all eight guests, and two high chairs make mealtime with the little ones easier.<br><br>Two modern bathrooms with showers—the one upstairs also featuring a bathtub and bidet—are equipped with a hair dryer and large mirrors. The cozy sunroom with wicker furniture offers a quiet retreat with a view of the greenery. In the well-maintained garden, you can enjoy the fresh air: a table and chairs for everyone, two lounge chairs, and a parasol invite you to linger.<br><br>A washer and dryer are available in the basement for laundry (for a fee). Free parking in the courtyard makes your arrival hassle-free; additional parking spaces are located just a few meters away. You can conveniently charge your electric vehicle at a Type 2 wall box (for a fee). Public transportation is within walking distance—less than 500 meters away.<br><br>Lichtenau is situated in the sun-drenched Rhine Valley and is the perfect starting point for exploring: The Black Forest, with its spectacular waterfalls, hiking trails, and castles, is just a few minutes away. Cyclists can glide effortlessly through nearby fields, forests, and the Rhine floodplains. A beautiful turquoise-blue quarry lake with a large sunbathing lawn invites you to swim and relax. <br>There are restaurants right in the vicinity—and other dining options nearby, such as the picturesque Fisherman’s, situated by the lake, where you can enjoy cool drinks outdoors. The charming Scherzheimer Hoftheater offers exciting cultural evenings. Shopping options such as Edeka and ALDI are about two kilometers away.<br><br>For longer excursions, we recommend: Baden-Baden with its famous thermal baths, elegant shops, and cultural attractions (about 26 km); the Black Forest National Park and the Taubergießen Nature Reserve; mountain bike trails and winter sports opportunities in the Upper Black Forest; Europa-Park (about 65 km); as well as nearby destinations such as Strasbourg (about 28 km) and Alsace (about 8 km via a free ferry). Golfers will find excellent courses in the region.<br><br>Getting here is easy: Baden Airpark is about 15 km away, and the Baden-Baden train station is about 15 km away; from the Bühl or Achern (A5) highway exits, it’s approximately 11 km.<br><br>The house is equipped with energy-efficient features, including a solar panel system and electricity from renewable energy sources. Water-saving toilets and showers, as well as eco-friendly cleaning products, help conserve resources. Final cleaning is included in the booking price. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
