A Dream Vacation on Rügen

—At the “Schäferhaus” in Mönchgut, your vacation will be a true delight! Comfortable amenities, spacious rooms covering approximately 115 m², and a natural outdoor area (property approx. 490 m²) make this vacation home a wonderful place to relax. Your four-legged friend is also welcome here!

In the living area (first floor), a cozy and modern seating area awaits you, perfect for watching TV and listening to music. A wood-burning stove (wood not included) provides cozy warmth on cooler days. The large dining table offers space for shared meals or fun game afternoons (some games are provided).

Cooking together is especially fun on vacation! The open-concept kitchen, which opens onto the dining area, features a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, as well as a coffee maker, toaster, and electric kettle.

From the dining area, you can step out onto the south-facing terrace with a fantastic view of the Greifswald Bodden and the Zicker Mountains. Enjoy the sun and the fresh Baltic Sea air—a wonderful vacation feeling!

The three bedrooms of this Rügen vacation home are located on the upper floor. All bedrooms are equipped with comfortable double beds. In two of the rooms, you can watch TV from your bed.

A bathroom with natural light and a walk-in shower is available on both the first floor and the upper floor.

For relaxing downtime, you’ll find a sauna (with a coin-operated machine) and a large game/fitness room in the basement, complete with a pool table, foosball table, ping-pong table, exercise bike, and cross-trainer.

General Information: You’ll have access to free Wi-Fi at no additional cost. There’s plenty of space to park two cars on the property, and a barbecue grill is available for warm summer evenings. The initial security deposit of €200 will, of course, be refunded to you immediately after the final cleaning, provided the cleaning service finds no issues. Please note that it is expressly prohibited to charge electric cars using the apartment’s electrical circuit. A security camera in front of the house monitors the premises.

Are you looking for nature and tranquility, rest and relaxation—a place far away from everyday life and stress? You’ve found it here: Groß Zicker on the Mönchgut Peninsula on Rügen!

In this quaint little fishing village, there are numerous historic buildings to admire. The best known are the pastor’s widow’s house from the first half of the 18th century, which houses a museum, and the brick church with its exceptionally colorful stained-glass windows, built at the end of the 14th century. A defining feature of the village’s architecture is the thatched roofs of the old farmhouses, which, with their colorful wooden doors and magnificent farm gardens behind the houses, create a historic atmosphere. Other tourist attractions include a small fishing harbor where visitors can sample freshly smoked fish straight from the smoker.
From here, visitors can’t only take group trips for sea fishing but also go hiking through the Zicker Mountains. Visitors are treated to an unforgettable view of the water and the picturesque surrounding landscape. However, most vacationers come to Groß Zicker for the fresh sea air and the excellent swimming opportunities at the stunning beach between Klein-Zicker and Thiessow. Incidentally, this stretch of beach is also ideal for surfing and other water sports. The village is also perfect for anyone looking to escape mass tourism and enjoy a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the island.

During the season, the local village store (200 meters away) has fresh bread rolls every day, along with the odd item you might have forgotten.
Additional shopping can be done in the nearby towns of Göhren, Baabe, and Sellin.
