Nestled in the pine trees, you will be surrounded with the sound of the wind blowing through the trees on a breezy day, and have views of the mountain-tops in Rocky Mountain National Park that hint of the three serene lakes below, and just a short drive to the lake shore. This location in a quiet neighborhood provides shelter from the noise of the highway, providing a peaceful, private getaway. Every detail of this cabin was thoughtfully designed with comfort, style, and convenience in mind. From carefully selected furnishings and cozy decor, to a fully stocked kitchen and guest-friendly amenities, we've created a retreat that has everything you need for a relaxing and memorable stay.
The welcoming spacious second story deck wraps around to the front of the house and provides several seating options. Use this comfortable space in the sun to enjoy your morning coffee, relax while listen to the birdsong, watch wildlife, and on a clear night, it is the perfect spot for spectacular stargazing. We invite you to use the gas fire pit and new gas grill provided. Only a few yards from the house, down the back steps, is a fire pit area- a perfect place to enjoy a cozy evening fire, share stories, roast marshmallows, and enjoy the crisp evening mountain air.
Inside, on the second level, and main living space of the cabin, you’ll find a full-size couch and love seat, and a delightful wood stove. Although the wood burning stove is off limits for use, it provides the perfect cabin ambiance. Central heating is provided for your comfort, and you will find a beautiful Vermont Castings gas stove available for use in the lounge and TV room on the ground floor.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all new appliances, utensils and cooking needs, including a coffee maker, tea pot, stainless steel pots and pans, and non-stick frying pans, crock pot, blender, cake pans, casserole dishes, wine glasses, serving dishes, cutlery, plates, bowls, beverage glasses, mugs, 16pc. knife block, and basic spices. The dining room table expands, if needed, to provide extra seating for your whole party.
You will also find on this level, two bedrooms and a spacious shared full shower/bathtub. The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed, and conveniently across from the primary bedroom you will find a second bedroom with a Amish-built twin on top full on the bottom log bunk bed.
The spacious loft above the main living space has a cozy lounge area with a comfy chair and ottoman, a small desk to use as a workspace if needed, and a large bean bag for napping or reading, and overlooks the main floor. The bedroom space in the loft is a favorite in the cabin, and features a beautiful queen log bed, and a small bathroom with a shower, just steps away.
On the ground floor you will find a rec room with a large Roku TV, and a brand new Joybird sofa to sink into after a day on the water or an exhilarating hike, providing a restful place to relax, read, socialize and gather together to play games, do puzzles, enjoy a movie, or binge your favorite show. This room features a charming gas stove that warms the space and creates a cozy atmosphere. A washer and dryer is an available if needed, and an iron and ironing board are provided as well. Also on the ground floor is a private bedroom with a queen sized bed and a snug attached bathroom and shower. All three bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner and soap, hair dryer, and a full set of towels for each guest. Extra throw blankets are provided for chilly nights. All the mattresses are brand new.

~ You are 4 minutes by car to Pine Beach and Picnic Area with plenty of shade, picnic tables, and easy access to Shadow Mountain Lake. This beach is a great place to launch a kayak, stand up paddle board, or find a peaceful spot to take your fishing rod and cast from the shore or a watercraft. Explore and paddle around the islands just off shore. See if you can spot an osprey up in the trees in their nest.
~ You are 8 minutes by car to the entrance of Grand Lake Village. Where you will find great coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, parks, Grand Lake beach and boardwalk, and lake access, boat rentals, museums, historical buildings, the Repertory Theater, and sweet treat shops.

Guest access:
~ Smart locks have been installed for convenience and safety, and a personal access code will give you access during your stay.
~ The living room, and kitchen, along with two bedrooms, are located on the second level, and requires you go up 14 steps to get to those spaces.
~ There is one step up to enter the ground floor level.
~ You will have access to the cabin, the yard, driveway for parking and the garage. The garage is available for storing any kayaks, paddle boards or canoes you may want to bring. Additional parking for a small camper, trailer or boat is available on the property with pre-approval.
*Please note, the garage door should remain closed when not in use. Bears are in the area and they will help themselves to the trash and cause damage if they are given access.
* Two locked owners closets, and locked storage closet in the garage are not available for use by guests. Please kindly refrain from accessing these restricted areas.
House Rules:
* For your safety, the wood stove inside is off limits to guests. A $250 fee will be applied as well as an additional cleaning fee, if the stove has been used.
*The wood shed on the property is not a part of the listing and all wood stored in the shed is property of the owners. Please purchase fire wood in town if you will be using the fire pit. DO NOT COLLECT ANY WOOD from the property to burn in the fire pit, including dead branches, old stumps or scraps found on the property.
*THIS IS A NON SMOKING PROPERTY: Smoking of any kind, including cigaretts, e-cigaretts, and vaping is strictly prohibited outside or inside the property. Violations of the smoking policy incur a $250 fine plus cleaning and repair costs. Marijuana use is strictly prohibited.
*Guests are responsible for damages, injury, or loss that occur on the premises. Any property damage must be reported to the host or concierge service. Unreported damages will be deducted from the security deposit or reported to the booking platform.
*NO PETS are allowed on the premises. A fee of $250 will be applied per incident plus cleaning fees equal to actual costs (minimum $150) to cover deep cleaning, deodorizing and any extra wear or damage.
*In the event of a fire ban, or fire restrictions - open fires in the fire pit behind the house will be strictly prohibited. A fine of $250 will be applied for unauthorized fires started, and in addition, any fees imposed by authorities.
*Initial supplies of amenities like toilet paper and paper towels are provided. Guests are responsible for replenishing these items as needed.
*Quiet hours are from 9PM to 9AM daily. Please keep outdoor noise to a minimum as to not disturb occupants of neighboring properties.
*four exterior cameras are in use, one facing the driveway and entry stairs, one under the stairs to monitor the entrance on the ground floor, one faces the back steps and fire pit area, and one faces the garage and woodshed. These do not view any interior spaces, except the garage if the door is open.
Cleaning Fee:
In order to cover the cost of professional cleaning services, supplies, and laundry after each stay a cleaning fee of $240 will be charged in addition to the nightly rate.
