The Space:

A stylish stay meets an unbeatable location at this modern, ground-floor condo in the Northstar Lodge. Located right at the base of Northstar Ski Resort, Northstar Lodge features ski-in/ski-out access, as well as its own gondola. In the warmer months, you’re surrounded by hiking and water sports opportunities at Lake Tahoe, just to the south. But with onsite resort amenities including an Olympic-sized, heated outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, sauna, game room, and shared fire pit and grilling area, you probably won’t want to stray far.



The private patio is the perfect place for morning coffee or aprés ski cocktails. Inside, you’ll find luxury furnishings and a warm, ranch-style vibe. The chef will adore the well-equipped kitchen, outfitted with gourmet Viking appliances, gleaming granite countertops, and all the gadgets they need to whip up a feast. Dine together at the table for six before heading out for adventures.



When you return, get cozy in front of the gas fireplace. Entertainment options include free WiFi and cable, a DVD player, a CD player and sound dock. If you’re not ready to call it a day, head to the heated pool or hot tub, or keep dinner prep simple in the community grilling area. You’re steps from the restaurants at Northstar Village as well. A large soaking tub in the main bedroom’s en suite bathroom is the perfect place to unwind before you call it a day. The home has a working washer but a washer and dryer is available in the basement.

Ski slopes were easily accessible, just a few steps from the backdoor of our condo. Condo was clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Great location and good accommodations. But washer / dryer was broken, and despite multiple attempts to work with owner / Vacasa, no returns or follow-up. The front desk was helpful on options but repeatedly told us to work with the owner. Also a very bright light through master bedroom window without good blackout blind. Poor service and follow-up!

We actually had a wonderful day because location is great! Over all the unit is really nice, but we had a few hiccups. The washer and dryer was broken and they had to get it fixed and also the kitchen faucet did not work very well at all. The other grip is the king bed in the second bedroom, which had a dip in the middle. Other than that, everything was really nice. The heated bathroom floors were my favorite!

This place was perfect for 2 couples. Efficient and quick front desk help. ( Thanks again Terri) Lots of privacy. Excellent location right next to the Highland gondola. Complimentary ski valet. Beautiful outdoor hot tubs etc etc. AND underground heated parking.

Nice unit in a great location. Minor details that should be addressed by management:No body wash in shower. Toilet flushed poorly.Some furniture very chipped and scratched.Only two small pillows in each bed.Main TV far too complicated to turn on.

Booked this as a last minute getaway for the 4th of July. The check-in process was easy and smooth. The place was a perfect size for a family of 4. Only a few complaints, first is that someone kept parking in our designated spot but the front desk handled it every time. The second was that it was a little dusty inside and outside. It doesn’t appear the outside chairs had been wiped down for awhile.Other than that, it was great!

Will stay here again, hope the dryer gets fixed

For the most part this was a great place to stay. Great location, very clean and comfortable. We really loved the outdoor fireplace on the little patio. My biggest issue was that the dryer in the unit wasn’t working and I didn’t know this until just before we arrived. I rented through VRBO and the listing there never mentioned the dryer not working. The listing in Vacasa does mention the dryer not working but I didn’t book through Vacasa. It was a bit of an inconvenience with two small kids. Also, the toilet in the master has difficulty flushing and there is no can opener. We will certainly book this unit again, provided the dryer gets fixed.

Property was beautiful. The room was good but it needs some deep cleaning. There was a lot of spider webs high and low. There was also dust on the floors around furniture that wasn’t moved like in corners near lamps and beds. The check in process was also complicated. The management company said they sent me check in instructions but there wasn’t any. I reached out through VRBO and got a message that said I needed to check trip manager but the info wasn’t there. So I messaged back. They again said it was in trip manager and resent the link. I specifically asked if there was a front desk to check into but was told no. Eventually I just called the number that they sent and was told there is a front desk and the reason there was no check in info was because I had to go to the front desk. When I arrived the check-in process was easy. There was someone parked in my designated spot on two occasion which I reported and they did have them moved. Overall the property was good.

Good location, below average amenities in the unit

This rental unit is located inside the Hyatt Vacation Club property at Northstar Village, so it’s very conveniently located. It’s relatively quiet and private despite the ground floor location, at level with a walkway to the gondola; some sledding traffic in the afternoon :-). The pictures are accurate in terms of look and feel. Parking is great and there are amenities for the property that you have access to (pool and fitness, kids’ activity room, etc.). However…The fact that you’re not a HVC guest creates a number of issues. We had to wait an inordinately long time to be checked in, as the front desk did not have our name or reservation info. Also, when issues arose in the unit (a scorched, unusable pan, no tissue, not enough soap) the Vacasa staff informed us that “only basic amenities are provided” and we were in our own, as the HBC will not service the Vacasa-rented units. So, be aware that you’re not in a full-service property, although the overall trappings are hotel-like.

Great place / TV situation gotta go

We’ve stayed at multiple condos in the village this one is one of our favorites, clean and updated kitchen, location was great. One thing I’d like to add is the TV/ remote situation was pretty frustrating, we arnt big on TV but October is postseason and it took atleast 10 mins to get these TVs to turn on to cable to watch any games, and only one remote for 3 TVs . Overall very pleased with this condo

Beautiful Truckee Condo

Beautiful Truckee condo, my family and I had a beautiful stay Labor Day weekend stay from September 1 to September 6 and the place was beautiful. Everything that you would need they had washer dryer, AC, and the amenities of the whole resort are just beautiful, recommended for sure and will be back.
