This maisonette-style house, with its large lot, is located directly on a kilometer-long sandy beach that offers endless space—even in high season—for intimate moments for two or family-friendly beach outings.
The house features air conditioning, which can be switched to heating mode via remote control even on cooler fall evenings. With its two bedrooms—each featuring a double bed—it is ideal for four people. You’ll also find a very comfortable sofa bed in the living area.
In early 2022, the house was completely renovated in a Mediterranean vintage beach style; a highly individual and creative interior design gives it its special charm.
Just a short walk away, you’ll find a few small vacation homes and “Le Bacchus,” a large pool with a small restaurant and bar for freshwater enthusiasts.
The 85 square meters of living space are further enhanced by a 25-square-meter rooftop terrace on the mezzanine level of the upper bedroom, as well as an 80-square-meter garden terrace that offers a magnificent view of the beach, the sea, and the island of Monte Cristo on the horizon. It’s absolutely wonderful at sunrise…. Of course, your comfort is also ensured in the outdoor area.
The open-concept kitchen is lovingly furnished with striking driftwood elements, in addition to a large fridge-freezer, an oven, a stove (ceramic cooktop), a dishwasher, a fully automatic coffee machine, and other practical kitchen appliances.
In the whimsically Italian-style bathroom (accessible shower, toilet, sink), you’ll also find a hair dryer.
Good to know: Bed linens are, of course, provided.
By the way: In the hallway closet, you’ll find the washing machine along with a condenser dryer.
All windows are protected by mosquito nets. We decided against installing one on the large patio door, however, since it’s closed anyway when the air conditioner is running, keeping those little pests at bay.
The large, well-maintained garden blends into the incomparable macchia, which conjures up a wonderful aroma with its magnificent herbs growing beneath the eucalyptus trees. The property itself ends right in the middle of the dunes on the beach, which you can reach in just a few steps via a small path. You can choose between a clothed beach or, facing south, a nude beach just a few moments away.
Despite the very quiet location—except for the constant and soothing sound of the sea—the immediate surroundings offer everything you need for a beautiful and relaxing vacation.
About three kilometers away, right at the foot of the famous Alistro Lighthouse, you’ll find a large supermarket (which also has a fresh fish section)—incidentally, it’s open on Sunday mornings during the high season—as well as small boutiques, an ATM, a post office, various bakeries, butcher shops, Corsican specialties, and other regional offerings. A pharmacy and, in case of an emergency, a general practitioner are also within easy reach. Your four-legged friend is also well taken care of: there’s an excellent veterinary clinic right nearby in Moriani Plage.
During the summer season, you’ll find plenty of authentic, cozy Mediterranean-style “beach huts” on the beach serving delicious food. Feet in the sand, fragrant delicacies on the table, and a glass of traditional pastis in hand under the palm fronds… What more could you ask for!?
Various diving schools and water sports activities round out the beach experience. There are also nearby horseback riding opportunities, tennis courts, and other recreational activities.
What the Corsican hinterland has to offer beyond that—with its fantastic and breathtaking mountain scenery—cannot be described here… You’ll have to experience it, explore it, or even hike through it yourself. You’ll be deeply impressed. It’s no wonder Corsica is called the Isle of Beauty!
