Located in the heart of the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve, this vacation bungalow sits on the edge of a vacation village with a history dating back to the GDR era on Lake Grimnitz. Here, you can hear the birds singing and sit on the terrace to enjoy nature. The natural beach at the vacation village on Lake Grimnitz is just a few hundred meters away.
The house has been recently renovated, is modern, and has been furnished with great care. On the exterior, we’ve preserved as much of the original condition as possible. The living and dining areas overlook the garden. With two bedrooms and 60 square meters of space, the bungalow is generously sized.
There are two terraces; the front porch is fully covered and offers a magnificent view to the south across the garden into the greenery, which has been intentionally left to nature. The spacious rear terrace also offers morning and afternoon sun and shade at midday.
High-speed Wi-Fi is available.
The living and dining area features a fully equipped built-in kitchen with an oven and ceramic cooktop, range hood, microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, and dishwasher. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, silverware, glasses, a toaster, and a kettle. The living-dining area features a dining area, a spacious sofa corner, and a flat-screen TV with satellite reception. A wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth even during the colder months.
The large bedroom has a 180-cm-wide king-size bed and a wardrobe. The smaller room has a 140-cm-wide sofa bed. The bathroom with a tub has natural light and also overlooks the greenery.
In the garden, there is a freestanding sauna with large panoramic windows overlooking the
garden, which can be booked as an add-on for a fee.
The sprawling complex is a former vacation village on Lake Grimnitz, which is now being restored after standing vacant for several years. Some of the other bungalows are therefore still in their original condition or are currently being renovated by their owners.
Our bungalow has been completely renovated, but since not everything on the grounds is finished yet, we are offering it at a small discount.
The vacation village is situated on a spacious property with mature trees; there is a restaurant in the neighboring part of the vacation village.
Children are welcome, but the house and grounds are not specifically designed for small children; there are no special amenities such as high chairs, cribs, or a playground.
The vacation village on Lake Grimnitz is located 65 km northeast of Berlin, right in the UNESCO Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve. Countless animal and plant species call this area home. Ospreys and white-tailed eagles—and in the fall, many cranes and wild geese—soar over the pristine marshes and small bodies of water in Eastern Germany’s largest forest area, which is also home to cuckoos and beavers. The flat region offers perfect conditions for biking and hiking tours, whether around Lake Grimnitz, to the countless small lakes in the forest, or to the ruins of Carinhall. To the south lies the large Werbellinsee, where you can enjoy a meal at sunset at the Fischerhütte on the shore.
Shopping options in Joachimsthal are just a few minutes’ walk away; additional stores are located in the town itself, as are doctors’ offices, an organic market, and restaurants. The town was founded in the 16th century under Elector Joachim Friedrich. In the old town center, you can visit the old town hall and the Schinkel Church.
