This recently updated waterfront home on Lovejoy Pond is your perfect Maine getaway. Enjoy the stunning sunrise on the private waterfront shore, sit on the 50ft dock with your coffee and watch the loons swim by. Swim in the lake, fish, enjoy the sun from the Adirondack chairs or explore the 379-acre lake in a canoe or kayak. The waterfront is easily accessible to put in the canoe or kayak. Finish the day by a campfire watching the stars. The home features a kitchen with an electric range, microwave, coffee pot, Keurig and blender. The large living room is comfortable and has exquisite views of the lake through large windows. Smart Samsung TV and Sonos speaker in the main living room. Both bedrooms have lake views and new comfortable Queen beds. The loft has a SmartTV and the WiFi will let you stay connected if you need to. The loft also has a pull-out couch with a brand new memory foam queen mattress. W/D in the basement, plenty of extra linens and bath & beach towels. With heat and AC, this home is cozy anytime of year. Fall is especially beautiful with colorful trees and apple picking near by! 20 minutes from Augusta where you can find Hannaford Grocery, Convenient MD urgent care and many other stores and restaurants. 1 hour from Portland and under 3 hours from Boston.

Great stay

For a number of years, we have spent a week or more lakeside in Maine in August. This "cabin" was one of the very best. Hopefully we will be able to return in the future.

Lovely at Lovejoy Pond

The property was lovely. The house was clean, there were four comfortable chairs by a little firepit at the lake, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the views were outstanding. We even heard some loons. The communication with the owner was excellent too. Highly recommend!

We had such a nice time at this property. Super quiet, and relaxing. Water was clear and clean and the house was just perfect. There was nothing missing. And the towels were plentiful and amazing!

Wonderful Family Vacation!

We had a wonderful family vacation! The home was very clean and welcoming. It is clear that Jenelle goes above and beyond to make sure your stay will be comfortable and that you have everything you need. Her thoughtfulness and personal touches were appreciated. The dock and waterfront were lovely and much enjoyed by our entire family. The location was perfect, private and quiet. 5 stars for sure!

Relaxing

We enjoyed our week on Lovejoy Pond. The house was clean, cozy and comfortable with so many amenities. My husband, who has some physical limitations, appreciated being on one floor while my daughter enjoyed the upper level to herself. Wonderful autumn week!

Lovely place

Our stay was perfect here on Lovejoy pond. So peaceful and beautiful! The place was very clean and exactly how the pictures looked. There is hiking close by and being able to canoe/kayak (provided on site) on the pond is fantastic! The pond water is clean and available for swimming and loungers are available-which was so great! The place is beautiful! Highly recommend this property! I hope we can return to this special place again. The host was readily available and great to communicate with. Overall wonderful stay!

Relaxing vibe

Cottage was clean and bright with just about anything you needed. Second floor loft was a perfect mini apartment for our 27 year old son. We hoped for better weather, but expanse of windows in the cottage made it seems like you were close to the outdoors even when you were sitting inside reading.

A most relaxing week

This was a brilliant and most relaxing property. We were looking for a place to dial down and recharge, and this filled all those needs. Of all of the VRBO properties this was by far the best as it offered a very well equipped kitchen (we enjoy cooking in), amazing water views, a place to have a fire in the evening while enjoying a cocktail, and peace and quiet. There are places to pick up meals if we wanted and places to go for exploring and shopping within an hour radius. I would love to return to this piece of heaven. A BIG Thank You to our hosts.

Peace and Relaxation

Everything was perfect. I did expect the livibg area to be a little bigger from the picture. Everything we needed was there. It was very clean. My husband and her family (ages 2 and 3) enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness. The kids fished, roasted marshmallows and ran around. My son lives 2 houses away so it was very convienit. We cooked out and enjoyed each others company. Would definitely recommend this property. Thankyou for allowing my family to have a wonderful vacation.

Wonderful Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake house. The house is beautiful and clean. It was so well stocked with everything that we would need (towels, dishes/pots and pans, foil, toilet paper, tissues, laundry detergent/dryer sheets, etc) as well as things to enjoy the lake. The owner was also very easy to communicate with throughout our stay. The weather was rainy throughout most of the week but the views of the lake from the house were lovely. We really enjoyed the wild life, including the birds, frogs and river otters. Although we had a rainy week, we found some wonderful places to visit within a 1 to 2 hour drive from the house (Portland, Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park, Mt. Washington, Bayview Beach and Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens). This is a beautiful and relaxing get away. Highly recommended.

Idyllic stay on Lovejoy Pond

My family and I enjoyed the most idyllic stay on Lovejoy Pond. The lake was quiet and clean (exactly as I remembered it attending camp there in the ‘80’s!), and my older children utilized each kayak and paddleboard daily. The lake house had a well equipped kitchen, easy to access washer and dryer (in the clean, organized basement), and walls of large, scenic windows overlooking the pond. We greatly appreciated having full access to the boat house, with enough paddles, floats, and life jackets to keep my family safely splashing all week. The home was modern and clean, without losing an ounce of the quaint charm that makes Maine the gem that it is. The bench on the dock made a delightful perch to watch my children swim and fish, and the gradual slope from shallow to deeper water made the perfect platform for my five-year-old to learn how to swim on his own (he was so proud!). Thank you to the hosts for creating and sharing a space that truly felt like home. It was a week full of pine-scented memories to cherish.

Away to a Beautiful Place!

I am currently in the midst of treatment for breast cancer, and needed a break from our "busy" hospital visits and difficult intervention. I can't express what a wonderful sense of peace overcame me when I entered this adorable house on the lake. It soothed my soul, it refreshed my mind. Everything was spotless -- the linens were high quality, the view of the lake from the bed was so wonderful. There was nothing we needed (except food) and it was all very, very good. Thank you to a very caring host.

What a beautiful time in a gorgeous setting

We needed a special place for our meditation retreat, and this was it. Sparkling clean and beautifully situated on the lake. Janelle was immediately responsive to our every need—and we couldn’t have asked for more. And we relaxed in the Adirondack chairs around the blaze in the fire pit taking in the amazing scenery of the fall colors reflected in the lake. A perfect weekend for our small group…it couldn’t have been a better place to be.

The perfect spot

Amazing property, centrally located for fishing lakes and ponds in the area and golf courses. Janelle was quick to reply with any question. Property was as described... VERY clean, modern, and TWO bathrooms.. one full and one half. Neighbors are awesome as well.... btw we know his secret lure ;)

Tranquility

This was a beautiful vacation for us and our dog. The lake is crystal clear and great for swimming, kayaking, and just viewing through the large windows or on the bench on the dock. The cottage is extra clean. Everything you need for a peaceful recharging getaway is here. We will definitely look at returning!

Peaceful lake house

Our family really enjoyed the calm, peaceful stillness of the house and Lovejoy pond. The home itself had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable and we all slept so well! The neighbors were very friendly and the cove provided to be a very sweet place to spend the week.

Relaxation at its best

This is a wonderful spot. It is in a cove so it is very quiet. We loved the peacefulness of our place and really enjoyed canoeing. I definitely will be back!!!

The lake views are breathtaking and there is so much to enjoy here. The lake is a gradual decent from the home, offering 100 feet of private waterfront. Located in the north cove of Lovejoy Pond, it is quiet and peaceful. With a campfire right on the water, it is a place you'll want to be anytime of day. We can't wait for you to come and relax by the lake!

My husband Joe and I bought this property a few years ago to enjoy the best parts of Maine with our son and daughter. We loved the way our children's faces lit up the first time they saw the camp and their continued excitement to be there. They play together and don't ask for their devices! We take pride in our homes and spend our free time on home improvements! The other many great features of this property and it's location include it's proximity to Kent's Hill school's running, biking and skiing trails. Local attractions include Dew Haven zoo, the Cabin Masters store and The Woodshed which has live music during the summers! Grab a lobster roll at the Lighthouse Market or pick up a meal to feed the entire family at The Apple Shed Bakery just 5 minutes away. Stop for a yummy maple donut at Lakeside Orchard and say hi to Dennis.
