It is situated very near to the coastside (15 min.) drive and at the beginning of the sierra very close to Frigiliana, a very nice white mountainvillage. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Pros: I am familiar with the area and was interested in renting a large villa to celebrate my 60th birthday.Alqueria del duende appeared to tick all the boxes for me.Its located in beautiful countryside with views to the mountains and sea and was very peaceful.The villa exceeded my expectations and the website as well depicted as it is does not do it justice.The areas around and within the villa ensured that we had our own space if required.We were a party of 14 adult family ranging in ages 30 to 59.We had a fantastic week.Made good use of barbi and pool.

The Villa is an adventure in itself , avocado trees all around it, sometimes an herd of goats with bells just outside the fence , steep roads and magic sunsets. It is possible to walk cross the valley into the village. The restaurant El Cerro 10 min away is ok and the Hotel closeby has splendid food. The villa is big and full of levels and places to be private if you are many. Internet good. We will come back ! Helene from Sweden

We came down from Denmark and gathered our entire family - my mother aged 83 years and our 4 grown children with their boyfriends/girlfriends - 3 generations :-) The house was a perfect choice allowing all our children to have their "own" apartment. We stayed with my mother in the main house. We enjoyed the grill area, the pool, the terrasse with the magnificent view ... The kitchen was well equipped. It was a great place to bring everyone together. Emilia was also very helpful with guidance regarding choice of restaurants, beaches, things to see, etc. We would love to come back.

Pros: This beautiful villa more than lived up to our expectations. We loved the furnishings and fittings, and the swimming pool was divine - the perfect temperature. The pool area and gardens are lovingly maintained by the owner's son who attended daily to ensure that they were irrigated and tended to. The view of Frigiliana from the terrace was breathtaking, and we enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife from our vantage point. The owners could not have been more helpful in catering for my elderly disabled father or giving us advice about the local area. We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa to anyone. We were a large family group ranging in age from 24 to 89 and we all had a wonderful holiday.

Pros: This house is in a stunning location- with spectacular views of Frigiliana, the countryside and down to the sea. The gardens are really beautiful, dotted around are peaceful seating areas where you can sit quietly and take in the different views. Our family of 8 adults and 5 young children loved the pool. All the rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. It has easy access to Nerja with good beaches and supermarkets and lots on offer for young people. Booking was simple and Emilia and Manuel were easy to communicate with in English or Spanish! The house and gardens are loved and maintained by them and they were eager to help and ensure we enjoyed our holiday. We all agreed that we had a fabulous week- thank you.

The pool is large and clean, with sum beds ,surrounded by lawn and garden and the barbecue brought us all in unforgettable moments, while some family members played Ping pong. The beach is 8 minutes driving. From the first contact the whole process was easy and Emilia was always able to help us in our doubts. I recommend this property for families and friends groups . Pros: We rented the house in late July 2018 and had 9 adults, 6 children (one under 3yrs old) staying for a week long family break. Emilia and Manuel were amazing with helping us on arrival which was late in the evening, and with recommendations and any help we needed during our stay. The house/facilities were excellent from the kitchen with full utensils to the bbq and pool area. Generally the house was very clean when we arrived and met all our needs. There is a Lidl or Supersol supermarket 15mins drive from the property so we were able to get everything else we needed for our stay. The driveway into the property is a bit steep and tricky to navigate at first but we got used to it and the main floor of the house (with 3 bedrooms) is not airconditioned but fans are provided so we would definately book again and highly recommend it!

Pros: We zijn met onze volwassen kinderen een week in het huis van Emilia geweest. We waren met 10 personen, waaronder 1 peuter. Het was werkelijk geweldig, het huis, het zwembad, de terrassen, de barbecue-plaats, alles was even mooi en goed verzorgd. Het balkon was kindveilig. Alle kamers zijn mooi ingericht en je voelde je er echt thuis. De ontvangst en de verdere contacten met Emilia waren heel prettig en warm. In de omgeving kon goed gewandeld worden en er was veel fruit te vinden langs de wegen. We hebben ons een week lang prima vermaakt.

Pros: Met kinderen en kleinkinderen 8 dagen in de villa vakantie gevierd. Iedereen een eigen kamer (15 personen) verdeeld over 2-persoonskamers en 1 driepersoonskamer. Voorzien van eigen bad en/ of douche . Alles was aanwezig om zowel de allerkleinsten als volwassen te laten genieten van het verblijf. Wel een klein stukje scherp dalen met de auto om de villa te bereiken, doch dat bleek geen echt probleem. Vriendelijke en service gerichte eigenaresse die altijd te bereiken was. Grote keuken voorzien van alle gemak, evenals wasmachine, vaatwasser, enorme koelkast, oven , magnetron etc. Daarbij prachtig uitzicht op de bergen en de zee en op korte afstand van Frigliana gelegen in de bergen . Jammer dat niet iedereen airco had, maar dan was er een grote ventilator aanwezig. De Vila was dusdanig gebouwd dat de meeste kamers ook een terras hadden . Kortom, meer dan de moeite waard.

Pros: Wat en heerlijk huis. We waren met 8 volwassenen en 3 kleintjes ( 4,1,0). Prachtige veranda met geweldig uitzicht ! Mooi grasveld rondom het ( niet verwarmde) zwembad. De benedenkamers hebben een eigen terrasje. Aardige eigenaresse die het samen met haar zoon allemaal verzorgd. Ze heeft vooraf boodschappen voor ons gedaan en een keer een lekkere tapasmaaltijd verzorgd.

Pros: I store træk var vi godt tilfredse med huset, der var dog nogle ting som ikke var helt som beskrevet, der står at der er air con, men det var der kun i 3 af soverummene, der var ingen kaffemaskine og elkoger, der var en defekt DVD afspiller, som vi talte med sønnen om, men dette blev ikke udbedret medens vi var der. Men ellers var der stor imødekommenhed fra værten.

Pros: Vi er netop kommet hjem efter 14 dage i dette vidunderlige hus. Vi var en gruppe på 11 med børn, svigerbørn og børnebørn. Alle havde god plads En dejlig stor pool og en fantastisk udsigt som man kunne nyde i timevis. Beskrivelsen af huset passet 100%. Det var også rart at vide, at Emilia og Manuel stod til rådighed hvis vi havde spørgsmål.
