Our family enjoyed staying at The Finnish Line. A short walk to the beach, plenty of room for everyone, both inside and on the porches. Excellent coastal property!

We enjoyed another Emerald Isle vacation at The Finnish Line this year. My family has returned to this location for years and always enjoys the stay. The location at The Point is ideal for access to the beach as well as the surrounding communities like Swansboro. The owners take great care of the house - there’s always something new about the place each year!

We had a great week! The house is very nice, was clean and well appointed. The owner was responsive and very accommodating. Absolutely no complaints. It's a great location, and has lovely landscaping, too.

Beautiful home in a beautiful area. There was a small hiccup during the stay with a swing, but the owner handled the situation very professionally, and had the swing fixed by the next day! We had a wonderful time overall, and would highly recommend the property for gatherings of 34 couples!

Perfect!

We had a lovely stay, and will definitely be back! The house is beautiful, so comfortable so nicely decorated-we did not want to leave! We were lucky with a very nice week at the beach, and we are already looking forward to coming back next summer! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and for sharing your beautiful home.

Great Location!

We have been renting the Finnish Line for several years now. This property never disappoints! Location is perfect, great restaurants, lots of activities, and the owners are super easy to deal with. We have recommended friends and family to stay at the Finnish Line and they too have enjoyed it as much as we do. Looking forward to our next stay!!

Great House By The Point

My family has been staying at Emerald Isle for years and has returned to Finnish Line for several years now. The Point neighborhood is great and the house is within walking distance of several access points to the beach. The house always seems to have something new each year when we return and the owners and management team are very responsive.

Another Great Stay at Finnish Line

My family and I just wrapped up another great vacation spent at Finnish Line on Emerald Isle. The Finns are great hosts - answering questions when they come up and keeping the house both well stocked and maintained. The beach in this neighborhood is sizable and not crowded. We look forward to returning next year!

Family Reunion

This property couldn’t have been more perfect for two families to share and host dinners for the rest of the families. The property was clean, well maintained, the location was perfect. Both the owners and the local property management were prompt with any questions and issues. Hopefully we will be back for another reunion.

Beautiful home!

This house has a nice layout and is beautifully decorated. We love to cook, and the kitchen is so well equipped and had everything we needed to prepare any meal we wanted. There are water views from all the porches which is so nice but it is a short walk to the beach. We had small children so next time we will rent a cart or two to pull all the supplies or even the kids. We will definitely stay here again.

Best beach house

My family can't say enough about our first stay at The Finnish Line! The house was wonderful in every way. Well stocked kitchen. A top deck balcony that we could have spent all day on enjoying the view. Well maintained. Nicely decorated. We had the most wonderful week at our 1st time in Emerald Isle. Sure hoping we can do it again. Thank you Bill and Patty

Lovely home…perfect location!

This was our first time in Emerald Isle, and this house didn’t disappoint! If you love the beach, this home is for you: beautiful ocean views from the third floor deck with nice ocean breezes, sound views from back deck, plenty of outside space to enjoy including porch swings, close beach access, ceiling fans in every room, nicely and tastefully decorated…I could go on and on. We just returned home today, and I feel so relaxed. All the stress melted away as soon as I stepped inside the Finnish Line. Property owner was so nice and responsive, too! I would definitely recommend this home for some R&R!

Repeat stay

We had a wonderful time. The beach at this end is large even at high tide. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, we were able to get outside. There is a wonderful path, where I walked everyday, easily accessible for exercise and the men purchased a pass to drive on the beach with all their fishing gear. We are getting older so the unpacking is getting harder bc of the 2 flights of steps necessary to reach the kitchen and living area. The view from the porches is well worth it.

Amazing

Loved! Loved! Loved!!! The views are great from all porches. The kitchen/living/dining area is great for everyone to be together. The bedroom level worked perfect for us. While the future bride and her attendants were being entertained on the top level, my husband enjoyed the tv area on the bedroom level. Bedroom level lets one retire for the night without being disturbed by those still up on the upper level. It is a quick walk to the ocean. You can see the point and the activity going on there from the top deck. From the back deck you see the coast guard station. Convenient to great shops and dining but a neighborhood feeling. We loved our week there.

House was dirty but great location

We arrived and the house hadn't been cleaned. The response I received from the property management company was "well you're early". It was 2:45 (3:00 official check in time) and the owner had told us we were good to go and given us the code. A very nice woman and young man arrived to clean about 20 minutes later as an emergency crew. They spent about an hour and were very apologetic. They tried their best but there were still dirty sheets left on one of the beds, hair on the bathroom floors and overall it felt rushed and unclean all week. I had tried to contact the owner through VRBO but messages never went through- I assume they turned that feature off so property management could handle issues. Disappointing start to our trip but the location was lovely.

Thank you for your comments. What you experienced regarding the cleaning and linen package was unacceptable. We are meeting with our Homeowners Services to determine if this was an isolated event or if it represents a structural problem. We spend a considerable amount of time and effort to make the days at The Finnish Line as enjoyable as possible. We rely on reviews such as yours to identify problems so that changes can be made when necessary.

Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time vacationing on Emerald Isle and The Finnish Line property definitely helped to make our experience quite enjoyable. The property was the perfect size for us along with our adult children, spouses and grandchildren. We cooked most of our meals at home and I was impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with cooking tools and a variety of seasonings and spices. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. I appreciated that light switches were labeled. There were several beach chairs available to borrow, which was helpful. Even though the beach entrances are fairly close to the house, it is still quite a hike to get to the water. That wasn't a problem for the big people in our group, but when we come back we will definitely need a wagon with balloon tires to help carry all of our gear as it is a little tricky with gear and children. The beach is absolutely beautiful and wide! Also, you have your choice of calm ocean water or waves. We also liked that there was a paved path for running or walking that goes all the way into town.

Very clean spacious house, kitchen filled with all the gadgets needed for cooking meals and a walk away to the beach with calm waters for the kiddos. Will definitely return for future beach vacations.

Great house but with a design flaw

It is an amazing location. Very clean and a well stocked kitchen. The en-suite rooms were great. The room with single beds was next to the hall bath but the room with the queen bed that shares the hall bath was inconveniently located for someone who needs to use the restroom during the night.
