Perfect for a family getaway, this well-appointed Cape Neddick home offers a prime location near York's top attractions and beaches—just a short walk to Long Sands Beach and within walking distance to Short Sands Beach. Tucked in a quiet family neighborhood, the home is also dog-friendly and close to dining, shopping, and local sights.

Inside, the coastal theme continues with tasteful decor, hardwood floors, elegant columns, and a cathedral ceiling in the formal sitting room. Multiple living spaces ensure comfort and privacy for everyone, with an open floor plan and soft sea-inspired tones throughout. The main floor includes two inviting sitting areas: a casual space with cable TV and a more formal room with a wood-burning fireplace and ample natural light. A third living space in the basement offers a cozy den—perfect for watching sports or Saturday morning cartoons. WiFi is available throughout the home.

The fully equipped kitchen makes meal prep a breeze for multiple cooks, with granite counters, modern appliances, and a large double-door fridge. Kids can enjoy smoothies or snacks at the breakfast bar, while more formal meals—like a lobster dinner—can be served in the dining room. A sunny breakfast nook with bay windows and two outdoor patios (one with a firepit for s'mores) provide plenty of options for dining. The home also includes a laundry room and a seasonal outdoor shower.

We were here for my sons wedding.

The house is spacious. We could’ve had the entire family stay here if it wasn’t for the rule of only six people. This house was very comfortable and convenient for our purpose. It is dog friendly which is a plus. The downstairs did have a musty dog smell. A few items needed attention

It was a really nice house. The only problem is when we got there the room with the couch on the first floor was full of dog hairs. We had to vacuum it all up.. I should’ve paid more attention that it was dog friendly because I had three people with me that have allergies from dogs. Other than that, the place was great.

Family Vacation

We had a lovely time. The location was great with a short walk to both beaches. We found that we could park the extra car at the baseball field or beach overnight with no issues. House is lovely and well stocked with linens and towels all very clean. Plenty of room to separate. Cleaning crew didn’t do a good job cleaning. This is an easy fix. We ended up cleaning It when we arrived. House is new and bright. 1st floor a/c is perfect. We kept baby’s bedroom door and windows closed to sleep and it had no a/c. Could use window a/c units in bedrooms and a dehumidifier in basement. A bit musty. Otherwise the house is perfect. I would definitely rent this house again!

Great Family Spot!

We rented this house for a Family get together for 11 adults and dogs and it was amazing! Nice quiet and safe neighborhood. It slept and dinned 11 adults very comfortably. I was very impressed that the house was actually set up for 11 adults as well, including plenty of linens, blankets and towels. Kitchen was fully equipped, 2.5 baths and the layout was great for entertaining everyone. We rented this in the winter but I can see how even more amazing this house would be in the winter. We are already planning our next family get together at this house.

Beautiful But

Home not as functional as it should be. Master shower not suitable for tall & seniors. Slippery, no bars, plumbing,watch your head. Lots of beautiful ships, however, not practical for kids and pets. Great design, comfortable chairs, sofa and beds. Very nice appliances. Great neighborhood.

Beautiful home!

The home was beautiful. Very well stocked. Coffee maker and Keurig. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes, etc; as well as extra sheets, towels, pillows, blankets. Even has a wine fridge! We loved the deck. Quiet neighborhood, backyard very private. Great neighborhood to walk to dog. The Webber grill was awesome! The beds were comfortable. Mini splits in the master and living room kept us cool when it was muggy. Home is very spacious, plenty of room to spread out and not feel like we were on top of each other. Open kitchen, dining, living room so we could all be together. Very clean with extra paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags. It was a 10 minute walk to short sands beach, quick 5 minute drive to the Nubble and 3 minutes to Long sands. My only complaint is the check in time, 4pm. By the time you get in the house, unpack, etc. the day is sort of gone and feels like a waste. But other than that we loved this rental and would definitely stay here again!

Very nice

The house is very nice, comfortable and as advertised. It is a very convenient location as you can walk everywhere. The neighborhood is great, quiet and people we met were friendly. Our only minor concern was that we couldn’t find any instructions regarding how to leave the house. So the night before our checkout I wrote and asked what we needed to do but got no response. We received 2 emails/texts about checkout the day of, but they provided no instructions — they just reminded us checkout was at 10 am. Then at 11:30, after I was home, I received an email telling me to be sure to wash the towels before I left! It’s not helpful to get checkout instructions 90 minutes after you are required to check out. I hope I am not charged for not washing the towels when I wasn’t informed I should do that until after I was required to leave.

The perfect vacation home

This was the cutest vacation home for 9 girls for a weekend getaway in York ME. The house was very clean and check-in was easy. Walking distance to the beach and to town. I would definitely stay here again!

Great house and location!

Easy check-in, perfect location walking distance to two beaches, nice walkable neighborhood. We had a great time with our family including two boys aged 9 and 12, and our small dog. Property manager was easy to communicate with. The house was clean, had a good supply of toilet paper, towels, detergent, etc, and beds were comfortable. We would stay again!

Perfect location

We had a great time at this perfectly located house. We were close to both Long and Short Sands beaches so it was great for walking to the beach. The house was beautiful and comfortable. We have no complaints with regard to our experience vacationing at Starfish Haven.
