Well appointed and clean property that was perfect for our 3 couples to enjoy southern New Hampshire. Great location. Very comfortable property in a quiet neighborhood. Loved watching deer walking by every morning.

Overall an excellent stay. House is extremely spacious, beautifully and simply decorated, perfect location to Goodhue Boat Company where our group was docked for Independence Day Weekend. Starter amenities (paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, laundry and dishwasher detergent) were more than enough for our weekend stay for two adults and two children. “The Spot” is a five minute drive with convenience items and a tasty pizza and sub shop. Garage parking was a bonus to beat the heat. Bathrooms are generously stocked with liquid soaps and hair/body wash. As a family with two small children, we were happy to all be in the same room with a comfortable king bed and a twin bed with rollaway twin underneath. All linens were provided. One suggestion we’d make is for the host to use rug pads to secure the beautiful throw rugs in each room, they slide around on the wood flooring and the kids took a few tumbles on them. The other discrepancy is the VRBO listing states “no dogs” but the welcome email states “dogs allowed” and there were dog bowls in the house. We were disappointed that the jacuzzi tub was out of order, and the master shower temperature choices were “very hot” or “scorching hot.” Seems a mixing valve needs replacing. We used the (much) smaller shower stall instead.Overall we would highly recommend this house and will return!

Beautiful experience

Very private, quite, peaceful. With in 20 mins of beautiful views and restaurants. Well maintained and clean. It was a experience. The worst part was having to leave. Enjoy!

Charming (and spotless!) Cabin in The Woods

This was our second summer weekend at this property. It is a beautiful home in pristine condition. Bed linens we cozy and comfortable (nice pillows too!). The house has several nice common areas in which to hang out. It gets great light, and the high ceilings make it feel larger than it is. Easy drive to North Conway for a cute town with fun shops and restaurants. We have already booked another weekend next summer!

VERY spacious!

From the moment you step in, the super high ceilings will immediately catch your attention. The pictures do not do any justice with capturing just how much space there really is in this home. I think that the double bed should be upgraded to a Queen but besides that, everything was great.

The home overall was very good...perfect size for all of us to separate and gather together ... we loved the 3 season porch for morning coffee, gathering in the evening and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking and eating. Our little one loved the openess inside and outside and was able to enjoy it. Beds were comfortable. Towels were plentiful. We enjoyed the morning deer we saw.Location was good...30 minutes to North Conway, 45 to Kangamangus, and 10 minute ride to Lake Ossipee. Negatives:The jacuzzi tub was pictured on listing but not operable. Couch in 3 season porch kept splitting apart. Needs some way to stay connected.Personal preference need... TV in master. Dressers in bedroom for week long stay Fyi...No sleeper sofa in study or anywhere else on first floor.

Our January stay

While we loved the actual property we were not able to stay for the two days that we paid for due to weather conditions. We did not get refunded for this. When we arrived the house was absolutely freezing and took hours to get slightly better. The front room stayed freezing the entire time, we had to shut the doors. We could not get in touch with anyone about it. The actual home is gorgeous and clean but these two issues that we had tainted our experience.

Exceptionally Beautiful

Freedom’s Private Retreat was exactly that a private retreat! This home is off of 3 beautiful lakes and tucked into trees away from the hustle and bustle of town. North Conway is about 30 min away center Conway about 20. The property itself is breathtaking we had deer in the tree line one morning. The kitchen is full equip with the essential and the bedrooms are gloriously large with comfortable furnishings. And who doesn’t love a double shower head and soaking tub after a long day in the mountains or at the lake. For us this was a perfect spot to slow down and rest after several days at the Fryeburg Fair! The one and only pain in behind was that occasionally the garage door would decide it didn’t want to close in the morning but with a simple pull on a string it would disconnect and we could lower it manually.

Great House

This house was amazing! As described and in a quiet and private neighborhood. Wish the couches were a bit more comfortable and bigger, especially for the amount of people allowed. Needs more seating around the kitchen table. The house is for 8 guests, but only 5 chairs are at the table. For 3 couples, it might be hard for everyone to be comfortable, as there is only 1 king bed. The other rooms have a double bed and 2 twins. It would be better to have at least a queen in one of the other rooms, but again, just an observation. And at night, there are no night lights (you can leave a light in the kitchen on but that doesn't help to see the bathrooms), it's pitch black, dark in the house, which is fantastic for sleeping, but not for if you need to get up and use the restroom. Minor things, just things we noticed. Overall, amazing house, lots of space, game room is great, EASY check in and check out, and a clean property. We will definitely stay here again!

Great property!

We loved our stay in this beautiful house! This is a very clean comfortable house. Everything you could possibly need is supplied. Everything is of a high quality. The kitchen is well equipped. There are plenty of games, books, a pull table, a ping pong table, etc. The area is beautiful. A short walk to the little beach. Communication with management was excellent. We hope to come back. Thank you for a great stay!

Charming New Hampshire Retreat

This is a beautiful property located on a wooded lot in Freedom, NH, a short drive (about 20 mins from North Conway). The house itself featured beautiful exposed beams and high ceilings. It gets tons of light! The beds were comfortable and had nicer linens than I’ve found in most rentals. There were plenty of towels, dish towels, etc. The kitchen had everything we needed for a weekend stay. There were several cozy places (an all-season room with a couch and TV and a larger sitting room) where we could relax and unwind. We liked it so much that we have already re-booked for another weekend!
