Nestled in the heart of Oaxaca’s historic center, Casa Nahual is more than a home it’s a curated awareness sanctuary that reflects the soul of the region through design, tradition, and calm. Inspired by the mythical figure of the Nahual the spiritual bridge between humans and nature every space invites transformation, rest, and reconnection.



With 7 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, the home is perfect for families or groups of up to 16 guests. Each room features artisan-made furniture, handwoven textiles, iconic black clay accents, and sculptural pottery that celebrate Oaxaca’s living heritage. Natural light, soft tones, and thoughtful textures create a sensory experience in every corner.



The rooftop terrace offers breathtaking mountain views and a space to unwind under sunsets, stars, and the moon complete with a wooden soaking tub, cactus garden, loungers, and a BBQ. A second terrace downstairs offers a peaceful corner for slow mornings or sunset conversations.



Though located just steps from Oaxaca’s most iconic markets, restaurants, and cultural landmarks, the home remains peaceful at night a rare balance between vibrancy and rest.

Please note: One room on the ground floor (where the crib is located) has a digital lock. This space is reserved for our staff and contains cleaning supplies. The rest of the house is entirely for your private use.

Need to go further? Taxis are easy to find, and ride-share apps like Didi work reliably. For day trips to places like Monte Albán or Hierve el Agua, private drivers and tour guides are widely available.



Oaxaca invites you to slow down, wander freely, and connect with its rhythm. Just step outside and the city reveals itself to you.

▸The tub on the terrace is designed as a space for rest and relaxation — it is not a pool or a jacuzzi. Since Oaxaca generally has warm weather, the heating system is set to maintain the water at a mild, comfortable temperature. If you'd like the water to be warmer, just let us know before your arrival and we’ll be happy to adjust it for you. It’s important that the heating and filtration systems are not tampered with, as they are calibrated for optimal performance.



▸Outdoor furniture & cushions: During rainy season, outdoor furniture is stored for protection, but you're welcome to set it out. To avoid damage or professional cleaning fees (MXN $2,000), please store the cushions properly after each use to protect them from rain or dirt.



▸ The cushions and lounger pads from the outdoor lounge should be placed inside the waterproof soft bag, which must always be kept behind the wooden soaking tub, tucked inside the open wall niche for extra protection.



AC usage: Help us take care of the environment—please turn off the AC when not in use.



▸Towels & water care: We provide one towel per person per stay. As Oaxaca occasionally experiences water shortages, we kindly ask you to be mindful of water usage. In case of low supply, we will arrange a water refill, subject to the provider's availability.
