The Space:

Serenity is in store at this secluded home, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature, just over a mile north of the Georgia border. Relax each morning on your deck with a cup of coffee, while you watch for the frequently passing wildlife, including a local family of deer and lots of birds, then spend the evening in the yard, roasting marshmallows around the firepit. If you’re looking for more action, never fear - you’re surrounded by hiking, mountain biking, and ORV trails, and the water sports at Nottely Dam are around five miles south. At home, you’ll find a cozy space with a mountain-cabin vibe. The open floor plan combines the living room, dining area, and full, well-equipped kitchen, so it’s easy to whip up meals and snacks while the kids play nearby. Grab some sweet tea and read a book in the sunroom or pop into the game room for a game of pool or darts. Other entertainment options include three streaming-capable TVs, an Xbox 1, and free high-speed WiFi. After a day of outdoor adventures, get cozy in front of the gas fireplace while the washer/dryer takes care of any stray laundry or let the kids enjoy the large front yard, with lots of space for tag or kickball. Fire up the gas grill for dinner, then call it a night in any of three serene sanctuaries. Another day of peace and quiet awaits tomorrow - all that’s left to do is book. Great cabin peaceful, quiet. Really enjoyed our stay. Extended our stay 2 days but have to say that to extend it 2 days the extra fees were the price of one nights stay.

Authentic mountain log cabin close to Cashiers, 8 minutes to the crossroads, with well cared for interior and cozy environment. The creek porch was delightful! Near fun hiking. I’m stay again.

Lovey inside; special for the mountains!

The decorum was great. However, all does were locked except the front one and so we couldn’t use the screened in porch or the deck doors to get outside.

Katy, thank you for your review. Please note that the front door does have a smart lock and is the only door of entry when the rest of the doors are locked. Once inside the home the guest have full access and ability to unlock the deadbolts and use the other doors. We are glad you enjoyed the home and we hope we can host you again soon!

Great house for a big family. Had everything we needed. House was clean. My only complaint is that they need to hire an exterminator for roaches. Fire pit is a little bit far from the house, which I understand the reason for this, but there is no lights in the area. My kid loved the pool table.

Waterfall Weekend

Great location and proximity to waterfall hikes. In 4 days we were able to accomplish 8 waterfall hikes within a 30 minute drive. House was very clean and had enough space for our two families. Our only hiccup was access to the WiFi. The information provided was not correct. We were dependent on having WiFi as there is no cell service in the house or general vicinity. Would definitely recommend this house for people wanting to enjoy the outdoors.

Peaceful retreat

We loved this cabin so much. Felt like home to us. Everything you could ever need they had. Kitchen was stocked with all that we needed for our stay. Just bring your groceries nothing else needed. Pool table was great as well as the x box for the kids. Did not use firepit because of the rain but nice to have available. Beds were very comfortable for all. Outdoor seating and space was awesome. We got to see the deer most days we were there. Not far from shopping and restaurants in the small town. Also close to other towns to visit. Overall a fantastic home and a great place to vacation. We definitely will be back.

Quiet and comfortable.

A cozy cabin with pretty antique furnishings, a beautiful wrap-around porch and a nice fenced in area for the pup. The moss covered front yard and cobblestone pathway is stunning and gives a storybook feel on your arrival. The main floor queenroom has a wonderful screened in porch surrounded by peaceful woods. Appliances are dated but worked fine. No food or beverage items, but an Ingles just 15 minutes up the road. AC takes a while to cool the big indoor space.

True peace

We have rented other cabins in the past, but none compares to this one. We were truly able to relax, the property is serene and beautiful. All the amenities made it fun for our kids, if you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is stocked with everything you’d need, lots of clean towels available, and they even provide small soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. We were relatively close to everything, outdoors activities stores and restaurants. The cabin was pristine, which made it very comfortable, even the outdoor areas where you would expect to find spiders or insects, were clean, which is impressive for a wooded area. We saw a couple of deer and lots of fireflies. The host really thought of everything, I think we could have stayed in the cabin the whole time and enjoyed it, but who could resist the beautiful mountains, an awesome experience all in all!

Everything we needed

It was the perfect fit for our family. Secluded enough and we were able to see the NC and GA mountains. We took the scenic routes for both states. Made it to the Blue Ridge parkway and saw the beautiful fall foliage. My kid loved the pool table. I’m sure it can fit a big family. The price was reasonable for the entire house. The house was very clean and ready for us. The only reason I’m not giving a 5 stars is because they need an exterminator for roaches. The fire pit is a little bit distant from the house, which I could see why, but then it was very dark and I was scared of using it by the time we got to the house, since there was not lights.

Homey cabin close to great hiking

My 23 year old daughter and I booked this listing for a quick get away. It was perfect! The cabin was cozy, clean, and welcoming. The appliances and bathrooms were dated, but everything worked. We would book this listing again without hesitation.

Awesome mountain house

The house was perfect for our get away with our dogs. It was extremely clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The den was very comfortable, and the master bedroom and bathroom were huge. We look forward to our next trip to the cabin.

Perfect Mountain Cabin

Laurel Cabin was a perfect, quiet retreat. It's only 10-12 minutes from Cashiers crossroads and in close proximity to tons of trails. Very spacious, plenty of room for a family or two. TV's worked, Wi-Fi worked, kitchen has tons of room. Can't wait to stay again.

Wonderful Cabin Stay

The cabin was everything we could have hoped for. Did a whitewater rafting adventure and this cabin was a great place for us to retreat to. Loved the pool table and the view of the night sky.

Our second stay at this cabin and will be going back. Great for families of all ages. Great kitchen too. Outside room to wander or just sit and relax. The addition of the game room was a big plus this year!

Great Value in the woods.

A great place in the woods. Plenty of room for our family of 5. It was well stocked with the necessities. The place was a little warm when we got there. Took a good while to cool it down. I know this isn’t trouble most of the year but in the heat of the summer, it is when they leave the air off. They don’t advertise an EV charger but I did see a 220v plug inside the garage door. I didn’t bring my EV but would have if I’d known they had this. Overall a great experience.
