Our house is located in a quiet, central setting with breathtaking views of 12 mountain peaks in the Oberschönau district of Schönau am Königssee. Right from the house, our guests can see attractions such as the Kehlsteinhaus and the national park, as well as our natural garden with a water lily pond and fruit trees. A bus stop, 2 bakeries, a butcher shop, 2 restaurants, a doctor’s office, a mountain guide office, and a newsstand are all conveniently within a 1-minute walk. Wonderful hiking trails begin right at the house. Our short loop trails around the house are also accessible with a stroller. Lake Königssee, the Jennerbahn aerial cableway, and the international artificial ice bobsled and toboggan run are just a 5-minute drive away, as is the entrance to the Berchtesgaden National Park with the Watzmann, the Wimbach Gorge, the Almbach Gorge, shopping options, numerous restaurants, and the train station, as well as the Watzmann Thermal Baths, outdoor pool, salt mine, ice rink, and the historic Berchtesgaden market with a movie theater, the Royal Palace, the local history museum, and the theater—all of which are also just a few minutes’ drive away. A 10-kilometer cross-country ski trail begins right behind our house. Two toboggan runs and a ski lift are also in the immediate vicinity. Four additional ski resorts are just a few minutes’ drive away. The Austrian cultural capital of Salzburg is just 30 kilometers away. A parking space is available right next to the house, as well as two covered bike racks. We offer our guests free Wi-Fi. It spans 75 square meters and is situated separately on the 1st floor, accessible via a staircase.
