Summary:

Sunset from the mango wood lanai table is a fine way to mark the end of a Maui beach day. This two-story Mahina Surf condo has ocean views, air conditioning, and two bedrooms with four beds for up to four guests. Bring the supplied snorkel gear, beach chairs, toys, towels, and ice chests to Airport Beach, then return to the shared pool or settle in with a meal from the full kitchen. The nearby shoreline is also a place to look for turtles, and Molokai can appear in the distance from the lanai. Kahekili Beach Park, Black Rock Beach, and Kapalua Beach are within four miles for more coastal exploring. It is a strong fit for a small family or two couples who want a beach-ready stay with a memorable outdoor table.



The Space:

Spread across two levels, this 747-square-foot condo gives a small group an open, flexible home base. The private lanai and mango wood table are made for outdoor meals and ocean watching. Inside, the full kitchen, cable TV, air conditioning, and in-unit laundry keep the stay straightforward. Beach chairs, toys, towels, ice chests, and snorkel gear make it easier to head out.



Guest Access:

Guests at Mahina Surf enjoy access to the oceanfront communal pool set along Maui's coastline, with garden grounds and a disabled parking spot for easy access. The beachfront location puts the water just outside your lanai, and grab rails support accessibility. A nearby laundromat adds convenience for longer stays at this 42 unit complex.



The Neighborhood:

From Mahina Surf, you can build a beach day around the water conditions and your group's mood. Airport Beach is a natural choice when you want to use the provided snorkel gear. Kahekili Beach Park offers a broader sandy stretch, Black Rock Beach brings the activity around Ka'anapali, and Kapalua Beach is a beautiful option for a northward drive. Each of the latter three is within four miles. The shoreline near the complex also rewards a slow walk to look for turtles.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is Maui's main airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring West Maui's beaches, dining, shops, and coastal sights. Plan on driving for most outings and allow extra time for traffic along the coast.

Great stay

This place is as amazing as the photos. It was beautiful, close to lots, yet away from all the buzz. A little road noise from the bedroom but all manageable. Would stay there again.

Great place to stay

Great location, beautiful grounds, very clean, decently spacious. No A/C but cools off pretty well at night, has plenty of ceiling fans and floor fans. Could use a new mattress in the master bedroom otherwise no worries about staying here again

Perfect Location at Marina Surf

The location and configuration is perfect for viewing the surf, Molokai, Lanai, Hono, Pool and the fabulous sunsets. Wonderfully maintained grounds and fabulous pool. Will definitely be back to unit 214.

Amazing Stay!

This condo was wonderfully appointed and had all the amenities one would want for a stay in Maui. It was amazing being able to wake up and have the view we had of the ocean and the islands of Molokai and Lania. A short trip to grocery stores and a bunch of restaurants made the option of cooking at home or eating out stress free. We loved this trip so much, we hope to be able to visit again soon.

Amazing

Great place! Well stocked with beach stuff (coolers, chairs, beach mats, towels, etc.) Location was great, walkable to a beach for snorkeling and another little cove where lots of turtles come up on the sand. Provided some welcome coffee and chocolate, which was really nice. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here, and would def stay again.

Hawaiian Vacay

Loved the property. Woke up every morning with the sound of waves. We stayed in unit 214 and the pictures are true to the view. If you want to see turtles this is the best place to stay with your own private viewing of them every morning. Close to Lihaina and best beaches.

Maui Perfection

What a perfect vacation home base! The listing was exactly as described. Upon arrival the condo was clean and welcoming with even a welcome bag of Maui items. Kitchen is fully stocked with all kitchen cooking necessities that you could possibly need. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the excellent snorkeling right off of the condo property — some of the best in our time on Maui. Would highly recommend and will look to this property for future Maui stays!

Beautiful stay

I’d like for us to say that this location it’s located in a very beautiful beach front a walk and see this beautiful waves on the Pacific Ocean the house was clean, and equipped with all kitchen essentials or able to cook in our own home bake coffee in the morning and smoothies in the afternoon just beauty .. the only one problem I have is the bathroom downstairs shower head water does n hard enough.. It could be an easy fix that’s why I still give it five stars plus there’s two rooms bathrooms one upstairs and one downstairs the home was big enough we all slept very comfortable

Great condo! Great location!

We spent ten days here and had the best time! Our flight was late getting in, but check-in was super quick and easy. The condo was lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped, and the view from the balcony was spectacular! It’s just a very short walk to the shoreline where we saw Green Sea Turtles 🐢 every day we were there! Not much farther to walk to a beach where you can swim and snorkel, and many other beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. We didn’t utilize the pool, but there is a nice one available on site as well as laundry facilities that are convenient and easy to use. The area was nice and quiet but not far from places to shop and eat. If we return to Maui we would absolutely stay here again!!!

We had a wonderful time staying at Mahina Surf! The condo was perfect for my family of four. We loved sitting on the lanai watching the whales! The condo was just the perfect size and had everything we needed to make a few meals if we wanted too. Other reviews mentioned you could hear the neighbors next door but we didn’t notice that at all. The lack of air con wasn’t an issue either. If I had to chose something that could be improved was the shower heads. Both the upstairs and downstairs should be replaced. But that is a very minor issue and not something that would make me not stay there again. One other “negative” would be the lack of washer/dryer in the unit. But again not a deal breaker. The good definitely outweighs the bad! We can’t wait to visit again and will probably continue to stay at Mahina Surf in the future!

Out of this world views

Incredible views and perfect location for going wherever your island adventures take you. The mattresses aren’t the best and the wi-fi is virtually non-existent. There’s also no AC and it gets quite hot and takes a long time to cool down in the evening even with the windows open to catch the trade winds. But, the view cannot be beat and we literally ate breakfast every morning and watched the whales. And just steps from the pool were turtles sunning themselves every day! Also, the pool is heated (wonderful to soak in every evening) and the grounds are meticulously kept. All in all, we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Mahalo for a beautiful stay!

Great property with fantastic view!

The good: well-maintained property, heated swimming pool, ample gas grills, extremely well-stocked kitchen (pots, pans, and knives of course, but even some stuff like muffin tins and a steamer tray), a wonderful view of the ocean, and a peaceful, high-class vibe. The not so great: very early morning (6:30am) trucks beeping in the parking lot and zooming down the road. The beach is beautiful but too rocky for most swimmers to feel confident jumping in (you can walk up or down a quarter mile to get some sandy beaches that are more swimmer-friendly). In-unit WiFi is unusably slow to the point of uselessness Overall, highly recommended! I've come back to this property more than once and will come back again.

Basic without the basics

While we were expecting a basic property we didn't expect it to lack basic items. There were missing cleaning supplies like dishwashing soap. When we arrived, the dishes were all dirty as a results with no way to wash them. There are no beach towels despite this being a beach property. Never had this issue in all the years I have stayed on the Hawaiian islands. We had to go buy them. Property is very loud. Paper thin walls. You can hear neighbors sneeze and cars driving down the street. Checkout is unusually early, 10am. Most places are 11 or 12. This property is managed by Vacasa which has the worst customers support on the planet. Contacting them is just a waste of time.

Another excellent stay

This was our second time staying at this property and it was just as lovely as the first. When we arrived we were welcomed with a fun goodie bag with some nice Hawaiian snacks. The TV was on and playing soothing Hawaiian music. It was such a nice surprise to walk into. One of my favorite things about this unit is it has a perfect view from the lanai of the ocean and Molokai. We loved eating breakfast outside every morning just enjoying that view. The other features inside the unit work well for our family. Having a private bedroom and two separate bathrooms to get ready really helped us out a lot. There was plenty of space to keep our things and stay organized during our trip. The kitchen had all the equipment needed to be set up for a good stay. This time around we purchased more food to eat in and were able to make any meal necessary. This included macadamia nut pancakes for breakfast and steak and burgers for dinner. If you’re wanting to eat out, then the location is optimal for that with it being only a 15 minute commute to downtown Lahaina and just a 5 minute drive to the closet places at the Kahana Gateway. The on-site management team was great as well, always available to answer questions and help with small needs. My son likes to draw and they happily offered a pencil for him to use. The grounds are well kept and beautiful just to walk around and enjoy. We liked being able to walk along the water to visit the beautiful green sea turtles that rest during the day. All in all, this was a wonderful and peaceful vacation. We are so thankful to have chose this location and specifically this unit because it exceeded our expectations and really helped us to have a wonderful visit.
