Apartment mit Sonnenterrasse Zwischen Atlantik und Wein
Our beautiful, fully renovated apartment, “Le Créfeldien,” offers everything you need to leave the stresses of everyday life behind in its 41 square meters.
The large sun terrace with lounge chairs and a seating area—and especially the spot under the romantic old chestnut tree—invite you to relax surrounded by nature. Located in the heart of the Médoc, not far from some of the world’s most famous wineries and 17 km from the endless sandy beach, it’s the ideal starting point for exciting excursions.

The Accommodation
A separate entrance in the front garden leads to the large sun terrace, which offers a view of the park with its typical local pine trees. Lavender and other plants turn the terrace into a true oasis of well-being. From there, you enter the apartment’s living area. The restored natural stone wall creates a Mediterranean ambiance. A pull-out sofa (with a built-in bed measuring 140x200) provides the option to create two additional sleeping spots. From the living area, you have a view into the small, well-equipped kitchen (two stovetops, refrigerator with freezer compartment, electric kettle, Nespresso machine, dishes, etc.). A pull-out dining table seats four people. Adjacent to it is the shower room. Decorated in black and white with patterned tiles, it blends seamlessly with the modern-Mediterranean style of the entire apartment.
Extending from the living area is the large bedroom with a queen-size bed. Here, modern design meets vintage charm.

The property
Passing through the electric entrance gate leads to the front garden. Here you’ll find a romantic seating area under the large chestnut tree. The apartment itself is located on the side of the first floor of the early 19th-century manor house.
A separate entrance leads to the sun terrace. From here, you have a picturesque view of the off-limits rear park with its imposing pine trees and other trees.

The
Médoc region—Beaches, villages, châteaux, and “more”:
What does the region have to offer?
It’s no wonder that the region is sometimes referred to as the “Garden of Eden in southwestern France.” The Médoc Peninsula is located near the city of Bordeaux, the “Little Paris,” which is particularly known for its exceptional cuisine and beautiful architecture. Médoc Atlantique invites you to discover the breathtakingly wild nature of southwestern France. The Atlantic coast here offers not only a sandy beach stretching over 100 km but also France’s largest freshwater lake, Lac d’Hourtin, which is surrounded by dunes, forests, and marshes. You can explore the surrounding pine forests on foot or by bike. The Atlantic, with its sometimes massive waves, offers a natural spectacle and attracts surfers from all over the world, who skillfully navigate the forces of the sea on their boards.
The region is world-renowned for its wine. Everywhere you look, you’ll find grapevines whose leaves reach toward the sky. Where there’s wine, the imposing châteaux can’t be far away. From Gaillan-en-Médoc, you can set out on the Route des Châteaux and discover the imposing—and in some cases world-famous—wineries that line the region.
The well-known seaside resorts of Soulac-sur-Mer—with its unique architecture and an Art Nouveau market hall where you can buy fresh fish and other delicacies—and Montalivet-les-Bains, where you can relax and stroll through the small shops along the street toward the beach, are also easily accessible. The small town of Hourtin-Plage, with its shops, restaurants, and beach, is also a popular destination. Le Pin Sec is the nearest beach, where you’ll find bunkers that have been partially buried and have sunk into the sand. Here you can see how nature has reclaimed this historic site over the past decades. Many of the bunkers have since been painted in bright colors and have thus lost their menacing appearance.
On a trip to Pointe de Grave in Le Verdon-sur-Mer, you’ll have the opportunity to observe where the ocean meets the waters of the Gironde estuary. The Phare de Croudouan, which is open to visitors, and Port-Médoc are also popular destinations.
From here, it’s a quick detour to Talais, a small village typical of the Médoc region. Here you’ll find a picturesque old oyster port with small, colorful huts nestled among the marshes. A culinary getaway of a very special kind, as the Médoc is also well known for its excellent oysters, which are cultivated here in the
