Incidentally, the Old Harbor is also a very popular venue for events and celebrations.
Wismar’s historic old town is only about a 10-minute walk away. Here you’ll find numerous shopping options, restaurants, and cafés, a vibrant selection of leisure activities and nightlife, as well as sights and places to visit. The city on the Baltic Sea and its events—such as the Swedish Festivals or the Harbor Days—attract over 500.000 visitors annually. The island of Poel is perfect for long beach walks. Here, you can stroll along the coast for hours in any weather and let the wind blow through your hair. The Ohlerich Speicher is home to the Italian restaurant Rialto, and right nearby, the well-known TV chef Steffen Henssler runs one of his popular Ahoi restaurants!
