Guests will have access to their unit, the outdoor entryway, parking out front and have access to the fire pit, which is typically about 20-30 feet from the unit. There is a large shared grassy area that has a hammock, corn hole and ladder toss.

✦ A note on the name: The Lakehouse is not on a lake and does not have lake views — Seneca Lake is a couple of miles away, with Lodi Point State Park just 5 minutes down the road
✦ The Lakehouse is Unit 1B — one of three duplex buildings at Last Light Outdoor Retreat. If you're traveling with another couple or group and want the adjacent unit, that's The Wine Cellar (Unit 1A). Book both and you'll have the whole building to yourselves
✦ We're located right on Route 414, which means incredible winery access — and the occasional loud truck. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs
✦ Property is on well water and septic — the water is completely safe and tested, but due to natural minerals in the area you may notice a faint sulfur smell even with our water softener in place. We provide a Brita water purifier pitcher for your convenience
✦ Firewood not provided — available nearby at Fastrac in Ovid or local roadside stands (seasonal)
✦ Lawn maintenance typically Thursdays, 10am–3pm

🐾 Dog policy: These are duplex units — even with our soundproofing, dogs can be heard barking through the wall. Please only bring a dog you're confident won't bark, whether you're in the unit or out for the day. If you do leave your dog alone, we ask that they be crated. This keeps things peaceful for every guest on the property.
