Near the Wachau! The cozy, bright Plessberg vacation home captivates with its beautiful views and location. It’s just a few minutes away from the Lebensresort Ottenschlag spa center. The Wachau (Spitz), with all its wine taverns, is also only about a 20-minute drive away. There are several village inns in the immediate vicinity. The beautiful, fenced-in garden is the perfect place to relax in a lounge chair. Old serviceberry trees and a currant hedge invite you to snack on the fruit. The single-story house itself features, among other things, a well-equipped kitchen-diner that can also be heated with an old wood-burning stove. A small library, various games, and a table tennis room are available. Our house is also well-suited as a “home office” location; Wi-Fi and a large desk are provided. In Ottenschlag, just four minutes away, there are two supermarkets (Euro Spar and Billa), several coffeehouses, restaurants, a large swimming pond (Oberer Teich), tennis courts, a beach volleyball court, a soccer field, cross-country ski trails, and very nice playgrounds. Many hiking trails wind through the town of Kirchschlag and the neighboring village of Ottenschlag and can be enjoyed right from the house in the immediate vicinity. Well-behaved pets are welcome. If you’d like to bring your own horse, it can be stabled at our Icelandic horse stud, Merkengerst. The single-story Plessberg vacation home is surrounded by a fenced-in garden with a beautiful view. Garden furniture, lounge chairs, and a grill are available for your use. Inside the house, there are three rooms, all of which are separate and accessible at ground level from the bright entryway with a coat closet. The kitchen-living area consists of a well-equipped, spacious kitchenette (stove with ceramic cooktop and oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, 2 coffee makers, electric kettle, toaster, blender), as well as an old tabletop stove that can be used for cooking or simply to create a cozy atmosphere. A dining table with four chairs and a TV area (satellite) featuring comfortable wicker armchairs from the Schönbach monastery workshop round out our kitchen-dining area. The bright bedroom with its large double bed (separate mattresses) offers a beautiful view of the orchard and across the adjacent fields all the way to Kirchschlag. Our living room can also be used as a bedroom (with a walk-in closet); it features a cozy pull-out daybed (with separate, comfortable mattresses), a well-stocked bookshelf with German- and English-language books and various games, as well as a large desk (Wi-Fi is, of course, available). This room is made especially cozy by the new pellet stove with a large viewing window onto the fire, which heats the entire house via central heating. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub (including a shower screen), sink, towel warmer, washing machine, and hair dryer. Right next door is the separate restroom. Also accessible directly from the entryway is our table tennis room for the sporty guests. A carport is available for your car. A deposit of 20% of the total price will be charged upon booking. Payment must be made in advance via bank transfer. Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Check-out is available from 12:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Keys are provided via a key safe. Pets are allowed. A fee of EUR 10 per night applies. The tourist tax of EUR 2.60 per night per person (ages 15 and up) is charged separately on-site. Included in the base price: bed linens, Wi-Fi, parking, heating, and final cleaning. Electricity costs up to EUR 30 per week are included; additional consumption will be charged at EUR 0.35 per kWh.
