Kelchsau is just a short distance from the SkiWelt Wilder-Kaiser Brixental, one of the largest and most popular ski areas in Austria. With over 280 kilometres of pistes and 90 lifts, it is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders. Kelchsau itself also offers a smaller ski station with its own lift and two pistes. Cross-country skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing in snow-covered forests are other highlights you can experience here.

In spring, summer and autumn, Kelchsau offers a wealth of outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, paragliding and kayaking. The mountains and forests around the valley are a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers.

Kelchsau also offers a good selection of traditional restaurants, a grocery shop and numerous farm shops where you can buy regional products (bread, honey, milk, yoghurt, cheese, bacon, mountain herbal tea and much more) directly from the farmer.
