We love Diamond Beach and have been coming here since it first opened. We have stayed in many units in the complex, and all have their positives and negatives. The positives for this unit are that it is spacious, nicely decorated, has great views overlooking the gulf and lazy river, is close to an elevator, and has a separate entrance to one of the bedrooms. There is construction next to Diamond Beach, so beware that there is some noise from that. When we arrived, we began noticing that the unit was not properly cleaned. We did communicate this, and our concerns seemed to be taken seriously, so hopefully this will be improved in the future (move furniture to clean and deep clean the flooring between stays). The main feedback we would like to give to the owners of this amazing unit is 1. the mattresses aren't very comfortable and could benefit greatly from a mattress topper for comfort, particularly in the master bedroom and 2. that blackout blinds/screens in the living area and blackout curtains in the main bedroom would be super helpful. Some guests opt to sleep on the couch, but there are no window coverings in there at all, and the adjoining unit also leaves their porch light on all night. Overall, this is a great unit in a great complex that we enjoy visiting each year.
