The Gerwing vacation rental is located in a quiet area on the outskirts of Legden. The town center of Legden, known as the "Dahlia Village," is 1.5 km away. There you’ll find bakeries, cafés, restaurants, a pharmacy, doctors, a rehabilitation and sports center, an indoor riding arena, and much more.
The Egelborg moated castle is right nearby and can be reached on foot in about 1 km. Also worth a visit is the historic town center of Legden-Asbeck with its dormitory, the abbey museum, and many other attractions, such as the guided torchlight hike. The “Dorf Münsterland” vacation and recreation village is about 3 km away.
Within a 30-minute drive, you can reach many other attractions, such as the leisure and wave pool in Ahaus, the sauna park in Epe, the SASSE distillery in Schöppingen, the Rock & Pop Museum, and Lake Driland in Gronau. The Dutch city of Enschede is also just 30 minutes away and is well worth a visit for its fish, flea, and flower markets.
In addition, the immediate area offers beautiful hiking and biking trails (the 100-Castles Route), making it the perfect place to spend a relaxing vacation.
