Restful and Relaxing Lake Cottage on Lake Bomoseen
Enjoy a peaceful Vermont getaway at our recently renovated lakefront cottage on the east shore of beautiful Lake Bomoseen.
Located on the quieter northern end of the lake, the cottage offers beautiful views of the Taconic foothills, amazing sunsets, direct lake access and plenty to do in every season. It's a great place to relax with family, spend your days on the water, explore Vermont, or simply sit by the lake and enjoy the view.
The cottage comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms.
The Space
Our cozy lakefront cottage includes:
3 bedrooms - one queen bed, one full bed and a bunk room with two twin beds 1 full bathroom Fully equipped kitchen Dining area Comfortable living room Smart Roku TV Wi-Fi Air conditioning Heating for year-round stays Small washer and dryer Covered patio Outdoor firepit Private lake frontage Seasonal dock On-site parking
The covered patio and waterfront are perfect for morning coffee, an afternoon by the lake or watching the sunset over the Taconic foothills.
Lake Access & Water Activities
Lake Bomoseen is right outside your door.
During the appropriate season, guests have access to our:
Kayaks Canoe Paddleboard Rowboat/skiff Private dock
Bring your fishing gear, explore the lake by kayak, paddle out in the evening or just relax by the water.
Life jackets should be used while enjoying the watercraft, and children must be supervised at all times around the lake, dock and boats.
Watercraft and dock availability are seasonal and may depend on weather and lake conditions.
Bringing a Boat?
Guests are welcome to contact us about bringing their own boat and using our dock.
Our cottage is located north of the Lake Bomoseen Float Bridge, which limits access for taller boats. Boats with more than approximately 6 feet of clearance above the water may not be able to pass beneath the bridge.
While this limits some larger boat traffic, it's also one of our favorite things about this part of Lake Bomoseen - the northern end tends to be quieter and more relaxed, making it wonderful for families, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding and enjoying the lake.
There are also marinas and boat rentals available around Lake Bomoseen.
Fishing
Lake Bomoseen is a popular Vermont fishing destination with opportunities for largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch, crappie, trout, bluegill and other species.
Fish right from the property or head out onto the lake.
Guests are responsible for obtaining any required Vermont fishing license and following current Vermont fishing regulations.
Things to Do Nearby
There's plenty to enjoy around Lake Bomoseen and throughout the surrounding area.

The surrounding Taconic Mountains offer numerous opportunities for hiking and exploring.
Winter
The cottage is also a great home base for a Vermont winter getaway.
We're approximately 45 minutes from Killington, Pico and Okemo, giving you several excellent options for skiing and snowboarding.
VAST snowmobile trails are approximately 2.8 miles / 5 minutes away.
Castleton & the Surrounding Area
Castleton is approximately 5.7 miles / 9 minutes from the cottage, making the property especially convenient for guests visiting the Castleton area.

Winter Travel - Please Read
Winter is a beautiful time to visit Vermont - and snow is part of the experience!
During snowy or icy weather, AWD or 4WD with good tires is strongly recommended.
Guests should monitor weather and road conditions before traveling.
Following a snowfall, please do not drive into the driveway until it has been plowed. Do not drive off the plowed driveway or parking areas.
Sand is available at the cottage for icy conditions.
Normal Vermont winter weather, snowfall and changing road conditions should be anticipated when booking a winter stay.
A Few Things to Know Before Booking
This is a family lake cottage rather than a hotel or resort. You'll be staying directly on a Vermont lake surrounded by nature.
Depending on the season, that can include insects, wildlife, changing lake conditions, leaves, pollen, mud, snow and everything else that comes with enjoying Vermont outdoors.
That's part of what we love about the place.
If you're looking for a peaceful lakefront setting where you can kayak in the morning, fish off the dock, explore Vermont during the day and sit around a fire in the evening, you'll feel right at home.
Your Lake Bomoseen Getaway
Whether you're coming for a summer week on the lake, Vermont foliage, a visit to Castleton, a fishing trip, a ski weekend or simply some time away, we hope you'll enjoy the cottage as much as our family does.
Come relax, explore and make some great memories on Lake Bomoseen.
