The apartment offers a beautiful view of the Ammergau Alps. Squirrels scamper back and forth outside the window; during the day, red kites circle the sky; and with a little luck, you might even spot roe deer or a stag leaping across the meadows. Very close to the house is the Königsstraße, along which King Ludwig II once enjoyed this wonderful area as he traveled between his castles, Linderhof and Neuschwanstein.
Just around the corner—and easily reached in no time by bike or on foot—is the Wieskirche, an UNESCO® World Heritage Site.
The monastic town of Steingaden captivates visitors with its historic market square and the Welfenmünster, which was founded by Welf VI in 1147. The Premonstratensian monks left their mark in every corner. They created this magnificent cultural landscape with its many lakes and churches, not least the Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche on the Kreuzberg, located directly behind the house.
Anyone who wants to try their hand at cooking on the grill or in the pizza oven can do so using the equipment provided. For a relaxing end to the day with a beer or glass of wine, the spacious balcony is available.

Right behind the house, you can go biking or take a walk to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the “Wieskirche.”
The village of Steingaden is charming, with its old market square, many different Bavarian restaurants, and the old monastery with its church, the “Welfenmünster.”

You’ll find everything you need to enjoy a wonderful vacation in the apartment. If you’d like to have a barbecue, you can do so outside, and there are various drinks available to help you enjoy a relaxing evening.
