Our house is located above the beautiful historic town of Sommerhausen, with a view across the Main Valley all the way to Würzburg (including the Marienberg Fortress) and the magnificent vineyards. Whether on foot, by bike, by bus, or by car—from our apartment, you can reach and explore many places in no time. The nearest bus stop is about a 5–7-minute walk away. You’ll find a bakery, a small village store, and several restaurants in the historic center.
Above Sommerhausen, there’s a zoo, and right from your doorstep, there are plenty of hiking trails—for example, through the vineyards—as well as a convenient bike path along the Main River. You’ll find detailed information in the vacation rental.
Sommerhausen has something to offer its visitors in every season: During the Christmas season, the famous Christmas market takes place every Advent weekend in the old town; in the spring, the town blossoms and the vineyards turn a delicate shade of green; in the summer, numerous wine festivals and cultural events are held; and in the fall, the colorful vineyards provide a stunning backdrop for events such as the annual parish fair. Let yourself be enchanted!
For guests arriving by car, there are plenty of public parking spaces available along the street.
