Discover our beautiful vacation rental on a quiet residential street in Bömighausen, a neighborhood in the municipality of Willingen (Upl.) on the edge of the Sauerland region.
The apartment has its own private entrance, next to which you’ll find a terrace with a table and chairs.
To ensure a cozy, quiet, and relaxing stay, our apartment features a bedroom with a large double bed, a living room with a couch, dining area, and satellite TV, and a kitchen with a stove (4-burner ceramic cooktop) and oven, a refrigerator and freezer, a microwave, and various other kitchen appliances. The bathroom features both a shower and a bathtub.
The Uplandsteig, one of Germany’s most beautiful hiking trails, runs right past the house, winding its way up and down through all of Willingen’s neighborhoods.
Just a few minutes away by car is, for example, the main town of Willingen, which offers cross-country trails and downhill slopes for skiing in the winter and many mountain biking trails in the summer. The town is also known for the World Cup ski jumping competition at the Mühlenkopf Ski Jump (incidentally, the largest ski jump in the world—only flying jumps are larger), where you’ll also find the newest attraction: At a lofty height of 100 meters above the Stryck Valley, you can enjoy the view of the ski jump and the town from the Skywalk suspension bridge.
In the Usseln district, you’ll find the Curioseum, a museum of a special kind where, as the name suggests, all sorts of curiosities and oddities have been collected.
In the other direction, the county seat of Korbach offers a picturesque half-timbered old town and plenty of opportunities for strolling and shopping.
Other nearby destinations include the Eder, Twiste, and Diemel lakes, all of which are worth a visit.
