A new, bright, and modernly furnished apartment for 2 people located right in the resort area on the Great Sea. The sandy beach is approximately 250 m away; Emden and Aurich are 10–15 km away, and Greetsiel, Upleward, and Norddeich on the coast are just over 20 km away.
The ground-floor apartment has its own entrance, a large living/bedroom, a bathroom with a new walk-in shower, and a separate kitchen. The approximately 20 m² covered terrace with patio furniture and barbecue facilities, along with the lawn, are perfect for relaxing. A comfortable convertible sofa offers a high level of sleeping comfort thanks to its slatted frame and gel mattress. The apartment is accessible for seniors and people with disabilities; there is only one step at the entrance, approximately 10 cm high. Living/bedroom with exterior roller shutters. Two bicycles are available for use; guests may also store their own bicycles on the premises. The apartment includes a private parking space and storage for a boat.
Minimum stay is 4 nights. Utilities, final cleaning, lodging tax, and bicycle use are included. Bed linens and towels can be rented for 10 euros per person. This is a non-smoking apartment; to keep it hypoallergenic, please do not bring any pets.

For water sports enthusiasts: In addition to swimming, the Great Sea offers ideal conditions for sailing, paddling, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, and pedal boating. There’s a surfing and sailing school offering courses, as well as the Paddel- und Pedalstation with boat rentals. You can paddle all the way to the North Sea via smaller canals or travel across East Frisia via the Ems-Jade Canal.
For cyclists: The “Drei-Meeresweg” (Three Seas Trail) runs directly around the Große Meer, featuring 20 activity stations in both a short (15 km) and a longer (35 km) route. Beautiful bike paths lead to Emden, Greetsiel, Norden/Norddeich, and Aurich. The Ems-Jade Bike Path follows the canal of the same name. Two bikes are included in the rental price, and storage facilities are available for bikes you bring with you.
For anglers: In addition to the North Sea, the “Großes Meer” (Great Sea) with its surrounding waters, canals, and “Sieltiefs” is a particularly productive fishing area with abundant populations of both predatory and non-predatory fish species. Visitor fishing permits can be purchased on-site for 9 euros per day or 30 euros per week. For hikers: There are beautiful walking trails around the Großes Meer. The 40-kilometer-long East Frisia Pilgrimage Trail “Schola DeÏ” begins at the nearby Ihlow Monastery. It follows mostly field and meadow paths and is modeled after a medieval pilgrimage route. After 16 stops, the route ends at the Ludgeri Church in Norden.
For the adventurous: Day trips to the East Frisian islands, mudflat hikes, shopping in the surrounding towns
For days with bad weather: the DörpMuseum in Münkeboe, the Moormuseum in Moordorf, the local history museum in Wiegboldsbur, many beautiful churches and windmills, and Ihlow Abbey can be visited in the surrounding villages; the seal sanctuary, Waloseum, and East Frisian Tea Museum in Norden/Norddeich; the Kunsthalle, the museum lightship, and Otto-Huus in Emden.
For those who are hungry: There’s a lovely Italian garden restaurant right in the neighborhood, and several places to stop for a bite to eat around the Große Meer.
