Current Notice: From late May through mid-October 2026, the K30 between Laboe and Stein will be completely closed due to construction. Since your designated service office is located in Laboe, you can only continue on to Stein and Marina Wendtorf via the signposted detour.

The Utkieker one-room vacation apartment treats up to 2 guests from morning to night with a sweeping view of the Baltic Sea over Marina Wendtorf, the Bottsand Nature Reserve, and the Probstei Museum Harbor. The approximately 33 m² apartment on the 6th floor of the vacation complex—built for the 1972 Olympic Games—is easily accessible by elevator.

As soon as you step into this light-filled vacation rental, you’ll be greeted by a beautiful view of the sea. The small kitchenette features a ceramic cooktop, a combination oven, an air fryer, a dishwasher, and all the basic kitchen essentials. Enjoy your freshly brewed morning coffee either at the extendable table in the combined living and sleeping area with an L-shaped sofa or on the glassed-in loggia with windows that open and a wonderful view of the Baltic Sea and the Kiel Fjord. On the comfortable sofa—which can be quickly converted into a cozy sleeping area (sleeping surface: 140x200 cm) for the night—you can enjoy TV programming on the smart TV as an alternative to the view of the Baltic Sea. To darken the vacation rental, you can use both the pleated shades on the loggia windows and the blinds on the interior windows. Use the closet in the living room for your vacation wardrobe. A coat rack is also available for jackets and coats. The small shower room features a mirror on the inside of the bathroom door and a glass mirror cabinet with storage space for your toiletries.

From here, you can enjoy wonderful bike rides or hikes along the coast or through the enchanting salt marshes with sheep, cows, and horses. At the marina, you can charter a motorboat if you have a valid recreational boat license. For naturists, there’s a designated beach section not far away. Kids and adults alike can let off steam in the new indoor play paradise. Adventurers will be drawn to the black-light indoor adventure golf course. If you’d rather get a taste of city life, you can be in the state capital, Kiel, in no time. Towns like Stein are also easily accessible on foot or by bike. Right at the marina, you can enjoy snacks or even full meals—fresh fish is available straight from the fishing boat. Let the fresh sea breeze blow around your face and enjoy a vacation on the Baltic Sea with wonderful views.

You’ll find a public parking space in front of the house. There is a storage area at the house for bicycles you bring with you or rent.

Please note that this vacation rental is a smoke-free property. Pets are not allowed.

Living room: sleeper sofa (approx. 140x200 cm).
To make the bed, first pull the seat of the sofa out slightly, then pull out the additional sleeping surface and fold down the backrest of the sofa at the head end. The blankets are in the storage box next to the wardrobe in the living room. You’ll find the pillows and a mattress pad in the wardrobe.

Wendtorf on the Kiel Fjord offers everything a vacationer could wish for: an impressive marina, cozy snack bars at the harbor, and wonderful biking and hiking trails along the coast. The marina is the perfect starting point for sailing trips and fishing excursions on the Baltic Sea.
