Every thing was great, until Sunday night, when someone with flashlight entered the property , trying to look inside and looking at the kayaks and canoe, I did not feel safe anymore, which we left Monday morning, instead of Tuesday.

Beautiful. Just make sure to check address with host: there is another very similar address only a mile or two away which is not correct, and some map apps will navigate to the wrong one when clicking on the (otherwise correct) address given in the property details.

This was our first time to the Cape (Oh my, why??). We greatly appreciated the fenced yard for the dogs. There was a water bowl ready and waiting when we walked in!Though we spent most of our time out and about (beaches are dog-friendly this time of year), the time here was made more relaxing knowing that our dogs were with us. The sunrises are fabulous! Swans are indeed there, along with other water birds. Quite picturesque, awesome...The sunsets, reflected across the pond, are super too!. Although we did not use the patio, firepit, or water access, it looked well-kept and added to the ambiance. This is certainly a location to consider for a return stay )

A truly dream stay at this cottage on Swan Pond! From the moment we arrived we were enchanted and thrilled by its decor, light and amenities. Clean and comfortable, it was the perfect place with which to begin and end the day with its charming cozy tranquility. Fantastic kitchen, working fireplace, and lovely outdoor deck, it felt like home right away, including for my dog Luna who kept finding cute spots where she could curl up. We all slept like babies at night in the beautifully appointed rooms, and woke to lovely sunrises over the pond. Location allowed us to easily explore many towns on the Cape by car. And returning to the cottage, along the winding country road, from our adventures at the end of the day, felt like we had a secret gem. I want to thank our host Peggy for all her easy, helpful communication. You have something so special here. Thank you for sharing it. We hope to make staying at your Cottage on Swan Pond a tradition in the years ahead…- Michael

Very clean and spacious. Many kitchen/bath extras, which were appreciated. Quiet and private location at the end of a private road. No swans though, for our stay. Kept saying “Queue the Swans” to no avail.

This was our 2nd stay at this fabulous Swan Pond cottage! Located down a dirt road, adjacent to a wildlife filled marsh, the serene setting with beautiful pond views is so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed rowing the canoe down to Clancey's and then stopped at the island to watch hundreds of baby crabs as they darted about and into holes in the sand. Lazy afternoons reading in the hammock, evenings by the fire pit, enjoying the rainbow after an afternoon storm in addition to the sunrises & sunsets added to the experience on Swan Pond. The owners, Peggy & Russ, have created a wonderful escape from the everyday craziness of life. The cottage is clean, well equipped and dog friendly. I enjoyed our walks every morning & evening and we look forward to next year and another perfect vacation!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful home on the pond! The view was stunning and so peaceful, it made for the perfect backdrop to our long weekend. I was initially a little nervous about bringing our toddler given the waterfront location, but the yard was thoughtfully and securely fenced in. It gave us peace of mind without taking away from the amazing view.The house itself was clean, comfortable, and spacious—ideal for our family. We also loved how close it was to the beach and nearby recreational areas. Everything we needed for a relaxing and fun weekend was right at our fingertips. 10/10 recommend this property, make sure you catch a sunrise over the pond!

Wonderful..Swan Pond is amazing..deck and patio perfect. Host provided everything to make my month here great. Fully fenced...my dogs loved being outside..plenty of shade..canoe, kayaks, and everything you need for a day at the beach!

Despite our anticipation of spending four nights at Swan Pond Cottage in June, we were disappointed re: some of the comforts we expected there. There was no curtain on one of the bedroom windows where we slept. We ended up hanging a large bath towel for privacy. The instructions to gain entrance to the cottage were not clear and thus, created anxiety when we arrived after a flight from Florida to Logan Airport and then, driving to So. Dennis. It was very dark when we arrived, and we could not navigate finding where the front door key was hidden.Having started our day at 6 AM to get to the Ft. Myers Airport and then, a layover in Charlotte, NC and then, to Boston, getting a rental car and driving to the Cape left us depleted and not prepared for searching for access to our cottage. There were no instructions on how to use the TV. There were no placemats in the kitchen, and typical kitchen tools were missing. One bath towel in the bathroom was ripped. There was no box of Kleenex. The photos of the cottage are adorable, but, I am sorry to say, our actual experience there was below par.

A Stay at the Cape

Not long enough

A perfect few days at the cape but just wish we had at least one more day! The house is in such a unique quiet location, which was perfect for us. The main bedroom is bright at sunrise, so bring an eye mask. The kitchen is well stocked and the space was clean and welcoming.

Fall get away

My Girlfriend Annie and I loved the cottage and the location on the pond with the amazing sunrise. The only issue which was a minor one was that the fire place didn't work but that happens sometimes. All in all we had wonderful time here

Beautiful location

My husband and I stayed for a fall weekend. The cottage was clean and well appointed. The location on Swan Pond was beautiful -- sunrises over the pond were spectacular and could be viewed from the deck or anywhere in the house as well!. The dirt road approach was not as bad as some reported if taken slow. We had no problem with it. Very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks!

Birder’s delight!

We came up in October for a long weekend. The house is just as pictured, and Peggy was a gracious host. The highlight for me was waking up to both a beautiful view of the lake and an amazing array of birds. The sunrises over Swan Pond are spectacular. Our 11-year-old daughter loved the hammock. Just a cautionary note- watch out for ticks! It’s in the woods. All in all a great vacation.

Weekend get away

Great little house on Swan Pond. Though it rained all weekend we enjoyed the rest by watching movies and reading books.
